I've recently bought a 12 plate VRS with the tsi engine and 7000 miles. It too has a tappety engine. I queried it with the dealer and was told they are all like it. The car drives perfectly and the noise is not noticable from inside the car.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. Pulled away and the drivers side glass just fell out. £51+vat at the dealers to replace. I Wonder if this problem occurs only on models with heated mirrors. Maybe the heater weakens the bonding. Pretty poor whatever it is

Hi everyone I've had my se since April and have not had any serious problems. Sometimes there is a slight hesitation around 1800rmp but to be honest I probably wouldn't have taken any notice if I hadn't read this thread.Still the best car I've driven

There is a SE unsold sitting in the showroom at Prestons in Forest Gate London.Also a very nice 56 plate silver vrs which someone had part exchanged for an SE. I Love my SE but cant see why someone would trade in a 6month old car for basically the same car in a different colour

I've bought 3 fabias from Prestons. Find them friendly and efficient. Always polite and always return phone calls. Would recommend them every time

Also make sure you take out the right cover. The cheaper one at the dealers only covers the amount of finance outstanding if there is a shortfall. The other policy repays the diferrance upto

I had mine done.Being a new car I thought might aswell. Water does seem to just fall off it.I've washed it once since I've had it,and just dried it off and nice and shiny again. I suppose time will tell. Probably be back on here in 6 months moaning about it.

Hi Stu, Yes I do think SUK has handled the whole situation badly.I ordered my car in Febuary aswell,I got it last week.My dealer still is uncertain when the next lot are due.It is a ridiculous situation. I have read on here that some people have cancelled their order,which is a pity because it is worth waiting for but it serves SUK right for messing up.Any way good luck and enjoy your new car

It was a bit naughty and I will be taking more care from now on. Just couldn't resist it.Going up to the lake district at the end of the May,should give it a nice steady run

Back to the original point. I took my Special Edition out tonight. 70mph in 6th and floored it speedo pretty quickly reached 110mph with still some. I think the car needs some attention! ps. I'ts quick enough for an old fart like me

Even odder is the fact we all know they are in the country. I feel lucky to have got my one.Also I saw my one just after it was dropped off,it was absolutley filthy,looked like it had been in a ralley.God knows where they are storing them

Picked up the SE today,I can now see why you lot on 'ere are so fond of the Vrs.What a fantastic machine.I,ve had a couple of 16v 100bhp furbys but there is just no comparison.If I keep on looking out of the window with this stupid grin on my face the neighbours are gonna complain.The best bit so far is the kick between 3rd & 4th.Oh yes I'm hooked.

Hi all, I,ve not posted for a while,but have been reading with interest everyone's frustration over the delivery of the special editions.Ordered mine in Febuary and at last it turned up today. I was second on the list.Pick it up tomorrow,#496.

I wasn't given a choice. I was told the first 2 were just being sent out,and basically get what you are given. Hope you get what you want
