Hi, just picked up my new 2023 superb which has an Amundsen rather than Columbus unit that my old car had. Can’t for the life of me find the option to turn on 3d maps although I’m sure I saw it before all the ŠKODA connect stuff was enabled. Anyone seen this before as I really miss this feature. Any help greatly appreciated.

Yeah, weird sound. A bit like a dry gear or something. It did start in the heat, but is now doing it all the time.

Hi, Anyone had experience of one of the struts starting to make a racket when opening and closing on the electric option? Sounds like it could do with a grease up, but the unit looks sealed. I assume they are something like a geared mechanism rather than hydraulic. Answers on a postcard.

I have the moon White hatch and it shows as a white hatch on the columbus and on the colour maxi dot. Must be a coding thing.

Oh Well, worth a shot. I've seen it done on a Beemer, and the LED strips just literally sit under the existing trim. Was hoping it might be something similar. I'll check out EKTA and see what I find. Cheers guys.

Hi, just wondered if anyone has come across these issues before. I've gone through the manual time and again and confirmed that the settings are as they should be.
 
 By turning on and connecting my iphone to the Wifi hotspot, then launching the Media command app on the phone, I get this message: The media command app has not been enabled in the infotainment system. 
 Also, by changing the connection to the Smartgate one that I can see on the phone, I still cannot get any data in the Skoda drive app.All I get is a message telling me to change the smart gate password from the default VIN number. Surely it can’t be that causing this behaviour? 
 It's driving me nuts, so any help would be appreciated.

Hi, just got a great deal on an SE-L Executive, but it didn't have the ambient light option installed (doors n dash strips one). Does anyone know if (or has tried) it's possible to retrofit this? I've seen some videos on BMWs etc and it looks possible, but I'd like to stay OEM if possible. Any hints greatly appreciated.

Cheers guys, I'll try those part numbers. The Ali express ones might be a good alternative, but I liked the Skoda ones as they had lips around the edges which stopped any bits sliding off underneath. Thanks again

I had an under dash mounted Antenna on my old Mk 2 Superb and it did work OK ish. Often would get 5/11 sat fix. But did occasionally get the German factory location, not sure if this was the FW version causing that though.

Evening all, quick question. My old Superb Mk 2 SE had rubber mat trays on the door pockets, but my new FL Elegance hasn't got them. Does anyone know the part numbers for these so I can get 'em ordered up. Make it so much easier to keep the pockets clean. Cheers Farmer

Hi, quick question. After driving a 2011 Yeti, I noticed that you could see the track names and have track control on the columbus of a bluetooth attached iPhone. On my 2011 Superb with a retrofit bluetooth, I can see all the phone details on the maxi dot etc, but the audio only shows as bluetooth audio on the columbus and has no track names and the controls are greyed out (plays audio fine though). Has anyone seen whether this is simply a coding issue and what the coding should be to enable these features? Or have I got the wrong module? Any help appreciated, Martin

Yeah, watch out. If my stealer is to be believed. Skoda quote 3 hours for this job. I'm having a real hard time believing this figure. Maybe contact skoda uk for verification.

Be careful about getting these changed by the stealers out of warrantee. We just got done £315 for doing this. It sure ain't 3 hours work, especially when they stuck two engineers on it and the blooming thing squeaks now.

Hi with the disk in, try pressing the eject button. Youu'll get a popup with a notify button on the bottom. Press this and it will tell you when complete. You'll also get a status bar showing how far it's got (but no percentage or ETA to completion). Usually takes about 45 mins. Martin

Having never used the same dealer for more than one car, I am now on my third car from Willis's (in fact it's a total of 5 for the household), and this only comes as a result of excellent service and advice. After mentioning that I would one day like to run a Superb, Jason managed to pull a feat whereby I now have one that is costimg me less than the Octavia VRS I had before, and this includes the servicing (that's gotta be a neat trick in anyone's book). Even managed to get me a few extras such as a new fascia for my Columbus with the minimum of fuss and a resonable price from the spares dept. Well, with this level of service, Dennis and his team now have a regular in me, and I will definitely be using them again for my next car. Highly recommended.

Congrats, hope you enjoy her for ages to come. I got my superb about 6 weeks ago after having 2 previous Octavias. They were really good cars (especially the VRS LE.which I still miss, but the Superb is in a completely different league and I'm loving it. Probably because of the occys, I haven't really noticed the braking change, but this is my first dsg, so that probably has something to do with it.

Great colour, she's a beauty mate. Enjoy.
