Hi. I have had an issue in my 2018 Kodiaq for some time that is related to loss of communication to the TCU. When that happens many errors appear in the dashboard, light at the gear lever flashes and the car wont start. This is always the case if I shut the engine off and wait 30 sec. Wait of 2-10 sec does not trigger the error. I can wait 1 hour after shutting the engine off and the car always starts. If I wait 1 hour and do not try to start the car again after the 30 sec wait since last shut off - no errors occur and the car starts.
During driving the DSG behaves like it should without problems. I can leave the ignition on and start the car again whenever I like without problems.
The the main (and only) dealership in Iceland has done measurements on all related wires for the transmission. No faulty wiring. When plugged in - one of the CAN bus signals from the TCU was "weak". The conclusion, after consulting with Skoda tech support, was it probably is something in the electronic part of the mechatronic.
As there are many specializing in DGS/mechatronic repair, but so for to my knowledge it only is for the mechanical parts. Does anyone know if it is also possible to only repair/replace the electronics for the mechatronic unit?
Skoda wont only replace the print circuit - only a full replacement of the mechatronic unit.
