Sorry For the delay in responding Yes the unit does have a PIN code The unit initially intermittently lost sound, after powering off/ on a few times the sound went totally., a few attempts later the screen went white and after that the unit failed to power on at all. After removing it from the car and refitting I was able to eject the DVD, but still no sound or Display
