Hi guys, More Roomster electrical issues! So somehow the right rear door not unlocking fixed itself, I don't know why but it did. Now another issue popped up! The car doesn't seem to know when the trunk lid is opened, lights inside don't turn on, no indicator on the dash and the ca automatically locks itself back after a few seconds because it thinks no door was open. Anyone has any ideea what causes this? Lock assembly again? The trunk does unlock itself correctly, via remote dedicated button and the normal lock\unlock ones.

Hi, I noticed I have bad radio reception on my Dance HU. I get interference even when I pull up along other cars at the stop lights. Are Roomsters\Fabia known to have issues with the FM antennas or it is the HU? What should I check first? (I have VCDS if that helps). Thanks

Thank you guys! I will check the wires and if they are ok I will remove the lock and check it. Do you know if VCDS can help diagnosing functions of the lock? P.S: For some reason I didn't get notifications about replies to this topic.

Will this achieve what I want? I don't mind having main beam on during the day, I use it as such anyway.

I understand the stalling scenario, but if I remember correctly on my other cars they only turn off completely if I turn the key to 0, so a stalling would not turn all lights off. I'll have to check this tomorrow, you made me curious. What I do hate is the beeping when turning off the car and removing the key, I have to manually turn the lights swtich to 0 every time :), maybe I made myself too lazy because of my other cars. I'm in Romania, but I do have VCDS. I'm going over the VCDS topics to learn more about coding though.

Hi, I just got my first VAG car, a 2008 Skoda Roomster Style 1.4i BXW with LPG and I love it. I have experience with other brands I own and I'm curious if it's possible with VCDS to set the headlights on my Roomster to turn on and off in accordance with the engine on\off. I have this on my other cars. Right now I have to turn the switch off to 0 when leaving the car otherwise the parking lights stay on. The main beam does turn off when engine off. Is it possible to do this via software only? Note I do have simple halogen headlights.

Hi, I just got my 2008 Rommster 1.4 BXW with LPG and this is my first post here, so Hello to all! I'm very happy with the car, tons on space and very easy to drive, love it. I do have some issues and gimmicks I would like to solve as I'm a hardcore DIY-er and own several cars. My rear right door doesn't always unlock. I have to do a lock-unlock several times to get it unlocked. I guess this is a common VAG issue. What I don't know yet is if this is a repairable problem with the electric lock or do I need to get a new one, are there any topics related to this issue? Thanks!
