  1. Still not clear if that's the one for my car. I'm assuming that Golfs/Seats/ etc with the 1.9tdi manual box have the same part?
  2. Does anyone have the part number for the engine under tray? I've been offered an excellent condition one with part number 1J0825237K. My car is 54 plate mk1 19tdi estate.
  3. Yep, tried that but still the same. I removed the rocker switch off the one that actually works, and there is a little plastic pin with a spring underneath that gives it the two way function. Weirdly, after putting it back, that one no longer works
  4. The one touch operation doesn't function on closing my front windows, only on opening. It's the same for driver and passenger side, so it seems strange they have both failed. I've done the usual reset by holding them down and up for five seconds, but still the same. It's a MK1 L+k with 4x electric windows. I had an almost exact same problem on a MK4 golf, and wondering if anyone else had this issue before going out and buying new switches.
  5. You were lucky. I'm still waiting for the motor, just preying it's all good
  6. So what do people use as door insulation? I'm assuming the grey foam inside mine isn't genuine
  7. Turns out water had been getting into the 29 pin connector that goes into the window motor/regulator. Pins had corroded and snapped off into the loom. New loom cost £120, but eventually tracked down motor which is specific to the L+K Octavia second hand. Just preying it's ok when it arrives
  8. Did you ever get to the bottom of this? You have the identical faults as mine, wires look fine, and changed the door locking mech, but still the same
