  1. Following with interest, am not looking for bigger brakes as believe the braking system is more than capably might upgrade the standard pads when time comes and am looking at maybe an upgraded disc and pad combo with slotted and cross drilled disks so have been looking at Audi and Vw sites as there seems to be a lot more options for these brands, would love a 2 piece cross drilled disc as used in motorsport more for aesthetics than anything, who Doesn’t love seeing a big multi bolt 2 piece disc on performance cars, stupid and vain I know but want to be a bit different! On a slightly different note changing rubber brake hoses for braided steel types will give a better stronger pedal feel and harder brake application due to fluid only expanding in the piston chamber, Also swapping calliper Piston size or piston amount ie single to 4 can change pedal travel and pedal feel,Am not a mechanic but a little knowledge is dangerous!
Cracking graphics and has a lot of visual impact loving the wheels too what size are they ??? Don’t think I could run them where I stay , be octagonal in no time with pot holes!
  2. Yes my new sportline was also meant to be registered on 31st of March so as to beat the tax hike but due to Corona was done a few days earlier, did you get it from WEG ???
  3. Wow that looks quite easy and I must say a little bit scary spraying on to a new car, but it did peel off and clean easily, not sure if it’s just the video but the black looks a bit matte or satin finish not the gloss black finish like a lot of the Sportline trim, will hopefully get a better look this weekend and see what I can do! Thanks for posting this vid, plenty food for thought!
  4. Of course it will be, it’s always been Go Faster Red! Was at Tesco Polmont on Monday 11am ish and live not to far away from there so yip possibly me and mine! Use to have a Business Grey Kodiaq Edition, Wife runs a Moon white Karoq Scout!
  5. Had my new race blue Kodiaq for 1 week now and love it, but 1 thing is bugging me a bit all the Sportline trim goodies are black or body coloured bar the silver chrome trim on back bumper around exhaust, think it’s a bit odd so can get a roll of gloss black vinyl for not a lot of coins and am considering wrapping the trim, would rather remove it to do in a warm clean environment and for trimming the vinyl after figment but unsure how it is fitted , will have a look at weekend but has anyone had experience of doing it or know how to remove it and if so any pics, TIA did look at the Škoda exterior repair book that is available on here and it’s not shown!
  6. Am loving the fact that people are questioning wether it’s the right car, re age? a good few years back when I purchased my first Mk1 Octavia Vrs people where questioning my sanity buying a Skoda! Now at 49 I am On Skoda number 8 now, between my wife and I, convinced my Dad to get an Octy Scout and Brother in law just got Octy Vrs 245 Estate, Don’t think there is really a wrong age for any car but the older I get the less I want to fall down in to a sports car seat, recently got A Karoq Scout for wife,48 already have a Kodiaq as the main car, she loves the higher ride height, hopefully the 4x4 will come in to its own in winter, LED lights are Brilliant and light the road ahead better than any car previously, the built in phone system along with other toys makes it a recommended consideration for all people and all ages, and as previously mentioned enough specification choices and engine /transmission combinations! And No I do not work for Skoda or VAG group!
  7. Well as a new Karoq owner 2.0LTdi Scout I feel for all you guys that have kangaroos, why you may ask? We have recently rejected our 1.5 TSI Evo after 6 months of ownership fantastic car except for the judder, highlighted issue after attempting to overcome the stutter for the first month believing it was something my wife or I was doing with a new different model? Kept a full log of visits calls and contacted persons as a record even allowed garage to try to repair car but unfortunately they where unable to do so. Took 5 months and 10,000 miles but finally got a full refund! This is a definite fault and god knows what the kangarooing 🦘 is doing to drivetrain and was something I wasn’t prepared to live with,or risk issues further down the ownership life! New Karoq feels a more sorted car and so far very very happy with it!
  8. Also recently lost the blind spot function, will be booking car in to get it checked out, lost all my dab radio icons recently too and still having issues with the collision detection radar that the garage has already recalibrated. have you had any other issues? My Kodiaq was 1 of the very first delivered in May ordered it in Feb very happy with it bar silly little issues
  9. Been looking at Superskoda, anyone had dealings with them?are the products as described? I.e. Genuine Skoda? is stuff sent and delivered securely packed and in good time?
  10. Av got the Mk3 Vrs TDi and love it to bits!but pulling almost 20k a year mileage wise it's a great car to munch the motorway miles but as previously stated enuff fun to use Sensible on B road Blasts, how fast do you need it to be? But as also mentioned the extra costs involved in buying a diesel could buy a lot of petrol and short journeys ain't good on the DPF! Am so happy with mine we have just swapped the wife's mk2 FL Octy Scout in for a Leon FR with the same 184 diesel drivetrain she loves my Vrs but wanted something smaller, Fabia was top of list but Mk3 Fabia just ain't being equipped with a decent output engine!
  11. Not sure of price difference between the LE Vrs 230 and a gti but you have already ruled out the VW performance pack so may be a non starter! As previous stated Vrs is the fun practical choice the golf is the smaller faster higher residual choice but just to chuck a spanner in the works what about a Leon Cupra
  12. Looked mint sitting at station store this affy!
  13. Fantastic car, can't believe how fast you catch and pass some of the perceived fast cars in videos! Had a170bhp TDi yeti from new and loved husseling it along the roads and surprising people! Noticed you talked about tyre choice / cost and you mentioned yoko tyres, as a navigator in a Tarmac rally car we went from yoko's to Hankooks massive jump in grip and depending on compound run time, driver has just upgraded again to Pirelli and has already said he feels a lot more confident with the car,vx nova ,each step up adds to budget and then highlights other issues which costs to be addressed, but good boots certainly pays dividends! Unless your race series for the fiesta has a certain tyre allowed am sure the paddock will show you the way! Keep up the great work, loving the car!
