  1. Hello Everyone, For some reason the emails for post responses had been ending up in my junk folder so sorry for not jumping on here sooner. Prior to me throwing more money at something that doesn't work, can anyone confirm their reader works with the early mk1 fabia? So far I've bought 2 bluetooth versions and one wired and I'll be damned if I'm spending more money on something that won't work. I would have bought one like my neighbour has but that is an unmarked unit that wouldn't look out of place on the Titanic. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hi All, My other half has a 2003 Fabia 1.2 She has a reoccurring EML come up on the dash. I recently borrowed a neighbours code reader and cleared the code (normally I just let it go out itself). However since it's coming on more and more frequently I bought a slightly newer code reader for myself and it won't work due to the fabia not being CAN-BUS. What are your recommendations for a code reader(wired preferred) to clear the code on her car? Yes, I do think it's the same code over and over, yes i have the part to replace it, no I'm not looking forward to doing it as it's the EGR. Thanks in advance.
  3. Nope. Never replaced the sensor as the gauge sits steady at half on the gauge so never thought it to be an issue.
  4. Hi Wino, it's a 2003 12v. Occasionally it will run lumpy on start-up from cold(not necessarily cold weather) but shut it off and start it again and it usually goes away.
  5. Morning/Evening All, my other half has a mk1 1.2htp which she's had for a couple of years, paid £100 for it with 65k on the clock. I did the coils and plugs when we got the car but it's developed the intermittent misfire again, I've just swapped a coil we keep in the boot for when this happens(in a petrol station car park). Is there any brand of packs that you recommend? I've used the £25 ones from Euro Wrong Part and they don't seem to last. Also, this time it seemed to blow when she went to pull away up a hill in second, seems unrelated but could this cause the packs to fail under the extra load? Can't really link the 2 in my head but you never know.
