Off side rear door won’t open nor will window
Ofcourse I agree I have done loads on my car but with this as long as I know the problem I can give it a shot as I have my lot in 3 weeks and need it open. This is the invoice they left. So how would I go about finding the wire as I locked and sprayed the plug in door hinge.

Off side rear door won’t open nor will window
I took into a garage and they said it was the locking mechanism and they can’t access it as if they try the window will smash as it is connected to a regulator so they have to drill a hole and try and unlock then they told me the part is £170 and then labour is like £100 however I know Skoda is obviously VW owned meaning parts are generally cheap and I searched and the locking mechanism I believe is £30

Off side rear door won’t open nor will window
So hi everyone been a while but you see my car was sitting for a while due to the pandemic however started up fine the doors were a little stiff but anyway all doors worked fine however I did notice the rear door was a bit jerky from sitting but anyways it opened fine and closed but my mother came out to see the car then slammed the door now a couple days later I tried to open it and it won’t open from inside or outside then I tried the window from driver door and the rear window button itself won’t open when it used to a matter of days ago. Now I have taken off the door card. I have rang a couple places i also checked the door wiring loom under the rubber hose gasket in the door jam but it looks ok I think might give the plug a spray with electrical connector cleaner. That’s what fixed my faulty airbag sensor. Lastly I need I have rang places and they have said lock module, lock shattered or wiring problem. Given the fact the window won’t open I believe it to be wiring however surely if the lock module is broken and the car thinks the door is locked then the window wouldn’t work anyways right? Got a garage but he said lock module could be expensive however I found them cheap and it’s a Skoda meaning prices and replacements aren’t that much. Please would like to hear suggestion before I go to the garage. I have done a lot of work on my car and sure I can handle this if I could be given advice on what to fix. All other doors work fine.

Rear Light Failure
Hi I have a Skoda Octavia 2006 hatchback and the bulb warning light came on about a week ago and I checked all the bulbs and they all seem to be working just the left rear indicator was flashing slow but then sometimes it was normal then when I use the turn signal the dashboard green indicator arrow flashes unusually fast, so I ordered new indicator bulbs and put them in the rear left housing and then none of the bulb now work but then I changed the housing spare one still nothing then put the old bulb back in still nothing then I connected the left housing to the right connector and they worked fine so it’s not the bulbs or the housing I think i is the wiring or connector so I sprayed the connector with electrical connector spray to clean but still did nothing. A while back I had a leak with the screen wash and got on the wires lower down but they have black fabric wire coat material around and this was a year ago and they have been working fine all this time. I don’t know what it could be any suggestions and on another note my mot is due within 2 weeks just my luck my car always plays up before mot.

Skoda Octavia Columbus Screen Display Malfunction
Hi I have a Skoda Columbus (rns 510) retro fitted into my Skoda Octavia elegance mk 2 2006 hatchback and I got it retro fitted in May and have had no problems at all. I was drove to work (about 40 minute drive) listening to music through aux and I arrived at my work place and turned off the ignition and continued to listen to music as I always do and had no problems then about 10 minutes later I look at display and it is black but yet the buttons are still lit up and music is still playing. I then use the touch the screen and the screen responds with the beep even though it is still black, I then turn off the unit by pressing the button then turning it back on it was still black but radio works and aux still plays music then I took the key out and it turned off then turned it back on and the screen was half black and half vertical multicoloured lines so I decided to turn it off and go into work. Then about two hours later (on my work break) I come back and turn on the ignition and turn the unit on it starts up correctly with Skoda logo and then once boot up was completely I use media to listen to aux and there are faint vertical lines from earlier and then slowly within 5 minutes the screen slowly becomes faded with the vertical lines still on the right half of the screen and music still playing, then I turn of unit and go back to work. About 6 hours later I come back to the car and leave work it is about 10pm and the unit still is not showing any display and is completely black yet all the functions such as radio and aux work just not navigation obviously cause as I can’t view the map. Like I said this is the first time anything like this has happened I got the unit installed via this forum by a well trusted and respected member and there have been no problems for the past 6 months I have been using it. I have attached the pictures in the order as written and in all the pictures the unit is on. If anybody has had a similar experience or knows anything about this situation could you please message me using the forum would be much appreciated thank you for your time. Thank you regards Adam
