  1. Can anyone tell me where the FM radio amplifier hides in a Superb estate? I believe the rear side windows form the antenna so im guessing near there. Im wanting to change mine to one which supports DAB - has anyone done this? thanks
  2. Thanks, did you fit it yourself?. My egr is still under warranty so this time I will get it replaced, but if it goes again it might get bypassed
  3. Would love to fit something like that, but everything I have read seems to indicate issues with DPF if EGR is blanked or mapped out / both
  4. I had the 'fix' rolled back just after I bought it 4 years ago
  5. Hi, Got a problem with my superb 170 tdi 4x4. Glow plug light flashing 😞. Had this back in January and was replaced by local indy with pierburg, clutch and flywheel also replaced and serviced at the same time. Expected a lot more mileage than 9k out of a new egr. Anyone any experience of failures this quickly ?
  6. Turns out it was the temp sensor being loose, once tightened up regen started and egr working as it should
  7. Think the issue might be resolved. Took it back to the garage as I wasn't happy. They found that the temp sensor was loose, finger turnable loose. They are keeping it to do some tests in the morning but seems likely that was the issue
  8. Thanks, took it for a fast drive and the result is below. No real change on input temp
  9. Hi, looking for some advice please. I have a 2011 superb 2 litre tdi 170 4x4, had egr problem which to replace involved removal of many things including gearbox (got clutch done as this was out) . Got the car back last night and took it out today as vagdpf showed 99% full. It got to 100% and didn't regen. I noticed that the egr went to 100% closed so it does seem to be working. The main thing I notice is that the dpf input temp is well down. There are no errors logged but I think that temp sensor could be knackered. Any ideas
  10. I will look at those thanks, it seems it was the air box tubing between the airbox and the front of the car. Noise is gone after giving those tubes a wiggle
  11. It's 2011 and 115k miles. No sign of slippage with clutch
  12. Hi, I have a ticking sound seeming to come from the passenger side of my engine (2 litre TDI 170) between 1500 and about 1700 rpm even when stationary and in neutral. It's quite discreet but I hear it all the time and it's driving me nuts. Any ideas?
  13. My 170 4x4 does exactly the same, would like to get to the bottom of it. Tyres seem fine, rear spring carriers have been replaced along with camber bolts and 4 way alignment done - no change
  14. I get this in my 170 4x4 at approx 65 mph in 6th when accelerating, dont notice it in lower gears. Car already had timing belt done when i got the car so have no idea what it was like from the factory. I have read the post del linked to, Is this something that can be done DIY? Removing or loosening the mount cant cause any issues can it?
  15. I fitted it to mine in place of bolero - very straight forward, part number for surround is 3T08580691QB available from any skoda dealer or here http://www.skodaparts.com/product/superb-satnav-sorround-2008-2012-49990
  16. I lost a couple of the glovebox securing screws, anyone know what size they are, thanks
  17. I know there have been many posts regarding this but I cant find the answer i need. I have a Columbus which I fitted when I got the car last year (thanks RustyNuts) but now want to fit bluetooth in order to get the voice control working etc. I have got the module and wiring but am a bit confused by the wiring loom. There is a small white connector and a socket for one of these connectors - do I join these? The wire colours are different, are they for MDI perhaps? thanks
  18. Mine also does this at 70 in sixth, had the wheel alignment done and propshaft checked, car has done 97k
  19. Thanks everyone, i was able to pull enough of the top section back to feed the wire through, there are about 5 clips and i found by putting my hand behind the trim from the screen upwards, I was then able to find the clips and pull that section back, then work my way along, fed the cable through the rubber tube from the headlining and result is a very neat rear camera
  20. Hi, I have tried searching but not found anything of much use. Is it possible to remove the upper trim around the estate boot door? I have fitted a rear view dashcam but want the wire to run under the trim and then through the rubber boot into the headlining thanks
  21. The rack was fitted by my garage - they said they had done the programming. It would seem they didnt or didnt do all of it. Car drives fine and steering seems ok. No warning lights showing
