  1. I've just had my Haldex serviced by a independant (The Phirm), mines done 41k and he showed me pics of the sludge inside. Nowhere as bad as some I've seen but still needed doing. A main dealer wanted to charge me £150 to do on oil change "service" on the Haldex I got it done correctly for the same money inc new seals.
  2. Dropped my Yeti over to the phirm today to have my Haldex Pump serviced as well as a rear wheel bearing. The guy showed me some pics of my pump opened and of course there was some sludge, why Skoda only change the oil is beyond me. So all done and good for another 40k.
  3. Interesting, Thanks for that I'll whip the wheel off over the weekend and post some pics up then they can be identified.
  4. Well its a 2015 140 Model, surely it doesn't matter what brakes I have at present as I'm looking at changing calipers & discs. Front & rear. I'll have a look and see in a minute what calipers are on mine. Cant really see, single pot on the back with I assume 2 pots on the front. The post about using Porsche ones seems up my street, I've used Brembo's for years and they are good calipers. Stick the right pads in and they are good brakes.
  5. Being as I'm not too up on VW's, presumably lots of parts are interchangeable between VW, Audi & Skoda. So my question is what discs and calipers bolt straight on a Yeti 2015. All it is I have a full set of Brembo's off an Evo sitting in my garage and wondered if they'll fit? The brakes are ok on the Yeti, but I'm used to 4 & 6 pot brakes and if its a pretty painless operation I'll do an upgrade.
  6. Just got home after collecting the Yeti from a garage Nr Bristol, thought I'd pick up the A303 to get home. So far extremely pleased with it, Its a 2015 Black Edition, Demo + 1, done 35k, drives spot on. The Sat Nav looks better than the older one I saw but still needs some adjustment. The lights are good which makes a change, a comfortable car. Well time for a cuppa me thinks. Work in the morning....
  7. So all VAG vehicles are affected then, oh well if the yeti's had the Fix and it can be undone thats fine by me. Any mappers recommended down south I'm in Godalming
  8. The Yeti I'm going to see tomorrow has had the dreaded ecu update, will a tuning box over write it. Or is a real remap required? This update VW done apparently reduces torque and causes more regens as I understand it. Any advice gratefully received as I'm travelling a few miles and have no wish to waste my time, I do want a Yeti but if its going to be a pain I'll buy a Golf. Need a car for work asap.
  9. Many thanks for that, doesn't really tell you much except its basically an SE with a few bits.
  10. The Yeti I'm looking at has a "sports Pack" anyone know what it is? Thanks again
  11. Thanks chaps, so CR is common Rail ..... The old PD engines were bombproof.
  12. As per the title what does the CR mean is it a later model engine? Just dont want to buy a lemon.....Thanks
  13. Thanks for that, I'll see what the 2015 one is like.
