Hello. I would fix the list you have that you can do yourself. Then I would see about getting the map adjusted as you may be correct an pop the turbo. Or get your boot turbo sent off and rebuilt as hybrid and then get it mapped

In that case check the wires into the body from the door

First check all the doors are closed properly. If so then it may be the door lock on the drivers side with a failing micro switch

When I worked at Audi there was something put in place that we couldn’t charge more than £1.50 a litre. It doesn’t cost that much at a dealer probably about £20 to have it filled

Try pumping the pedal before turning the ignition on and see if it firms up. Then if that doesn’t work as above check for air in the system

As far as I am aware there shouldn’t be. Was it all new hardware?

You might get rubbing with them as they are wider

Usually push it all the way down and then slowly move it up and see if it holds

I went the other way on my golf and went from. 17” to 16”, because you have more sidewall on the 16’s the ride felt better to me but not by a large margin hth
