Octavia Mk IV - OEM Reversing Camera Options
Hi All, Just placed an order for a new 1.5TSi DSG SE L, and a necessary option was to have the ability for a reversing camera (which obviously doesn't come standard at the moment). The dealer assured me a "third party" company can install a "genuine OEM" Skoda Camera that works fully with the Octavia Mk IV (2020+), and they are going to get me a quote for this work themselves. In the meantime, I got a call to validate my order from one of the product people at the dealership, and he had no clue on this being possible...telling me the camera's weren't even being manufactured at the moment, as they were making them in the Ukraine. I've called a few people after an online search, and answers range from: in-car-install: it's not genuine skoda, they don't make them...this is plug and play and it won't be affected by any software upgrades vw-retrofit.co.uk: it is a genuine skoda camera, but not available for the public due to shortage they can get hold of. it will work exactly as it should on a new Skoda I'm keen not to get screwed over with false promises from the dealer...from the outset I had told them this was non-negotiable for us. Does anyone have more details, or a reputable option from somewhere that has a genuine part? Failing that I will try to get it in writing for the dealer that if there are any ongoing supportability issues they will front the cost or fix the issue...that or I might ask for my deposit back. Thanks

KESSY Fun - Car Locked with Keys Inside
I can't work out whether this is a design fault, or failure on my part....but either way I don't think the car is acting the way intended! Drive to shop, screaming child in back Keys in back pocket, realise i'm sitting on them and take them out onto the passenger seat Kid screaming more, park up, get out and close my door Remove kid from back seat close door Just as I go to get the keys of passenger seat, car beeps and locks - wingmirrors for some reason don't auto fold in Try every door and the boot....i can see the keys on the passenger seat definitely in range of the 1.5m sensor advertised Car stays locked Luckily my wife was only a 10 minute walk away but does anyone know what happened here? I can only think the car didn't detect the key in range for some reason because surely with the key in range and my hand on the door, KESSY should have unlocked it?

Karoq MY19 Driver/Passenger Seat Recline Issue
I've had my Karoq for 2 months now and have done about 1700 miles in it already, due to a few trips within mainland Europe. With a baby seat behind me, I kept feeling like I had to recline the seat more upright constantly, and although it was hard to know if this was really happening, I was convinced because my child's feat didn't reach the back of my seat, then after moving forward i felt him kicking my seat 30 mins later. After a month or so of this, I took the car to Skoda to investigate the 1st gear kangaroo ( 😞 ) and the seat recline. Turns out the dealer found that i'm not crazy, this is actually a car default happening on the driver AND passenger seats....they validated this by testing all their Karoq's in the showroom and on the forecourt. If you push the seat hard it doesn't move, but over time of sitting in it, it gradually reclines back slowly. I'm keen to know if anyone else has felt something like this going on as well, and reported to the dealer? My dealer said it's something that no one has reported to them before, and Skoda are highly unlikely to perform a recall or fix unless a certain number of people report the problem. This basically leaves me with an annoying need to move the seat forward every 30 minutes or so!

Offside Side Mirror Lowering During Reverse
In my old Golf Estate, with the mirror adjust knob in the "L" position, the mirror would automatically lower when in reverse. I can't see any option in the menu for this in my new Karoq and wondered if this should be working, or something that needs to be added via the ODB2/Carista app or similar?
