afternoon all 2011 monto Carlo tsi - noticed that the passenger headlight was out on dip and main beam and expected the bulb. not that so further digging, tail light also out. fuses ok 57/58 I think - 15 amp? any ideas? power steering pump just been done and its down that side so wondered if something had been disturbed. any suggested appreciated many thanks rich

My sons 2011 Fabia Monte Carlo has developed a steering fault. Warning Light comes on and zero assistance. Turning ignition off and restarting sometimes clears fault. Topped up the fluid a little bit it didn’t need much so don’t think it’s a leaking rack. Suspect it’s the electric power steering pump. Looks like it’s accessed from the passenger wheel well behind the plastic liner and doesn’t look like a particularly tricky job. or am I wrong!!? comments appreciated cheers rob

Wow that’s really helpful thanks. I’ll make sure I tell every driver I see that has better/brighter/safer lights to swap out to 10 year old design oem to avoid dazzling you. there are hundreds of kits available, from reputable firms including being sold at Halfords, which are designed to improve lighting performance. I seriously doubt that all of your ‘dazzling’ is the result of upgrades - more likely the latest OEM Xenons, LED’s or even lasers.

Any recommendations to improve the current candles in my 2012 fabia? Cheers

evening all just bought my son a 2011 85bhp fabia tsi monte carlo. 77k miles FSH what an awesome little car. im amazed how well it goes -showing my age but I bet it would give an xr2 from when i were a lad, a run for its money few slight issues... noisy heater blower - i understand access is through the glovebox its started hunting a bit when warm - up to 1100 rpm, drops if you lift the accelerator but assume its drive by wire? sounds a bit top end tapetty sometimes when warm - should i be worried? any weak points i should check? cheers rich
