  1. it is my first car ever when I am not looking at the consumption at all
  2. I hope everyone is reasonable enough to make sure the tyres are spot on. I bought a brand new set of DUNLOP sport maxx RT2 tyres literally one day before my holiday.
  3. sure I love the acceleration and frankly, in the UK, that is all you have however since I was driving through Germany it felt obvious to try on another note good quality fuel makes such a big difference but paying 1.86 EUR/L was a bit steep
  4. Hi All, just had a nice 2600 miles roundtrip in Europe this summer including the famous Autobahn I made sure my octi VRS petrol had not 95 or 98 but 100 octane petrol in her She flew. She was fully packed and did easily 153 mph or 244 kmh and could have done better but the traffic did not allow more. No performance upgrade so far only a good quality air filter. I wonder what stage one would mean in terms of speed?
  5. Congrats for the car and black is the best I have been considering remapping as well but still a bit hesitant as there are so many choices out there. Mine is a 2014 manual TSI VRS and I was told the clutch needs to be changed as they tend to fade away especially with the 300ish HP. I was also looking into the TDI tuning chip which only presses up to 270HP (instead of 300HP with a stage 1) but it can be removed any time without a trace or coded to a new car anytime. Enjoy and keep us posted!
  6. I just got a quote from Vindis Skoda for 307GBP (all inc) for a retrofit cc for my mk3 vrs.
  7. Funny when i checked out their website there were no pads for skoda at all. Anyway i ordered the brembo pads. Lets see
  8. I don`t know what the first set was. The problem is I have no idea what are the standard pads for skoda? Where can I find them?
  9. https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/brembo/1661875 https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/bosch/7885053 which one would you go for?
  10. I wish I could but I have no experience with brakes at all
  11. Just got a quote from Skoda Watford for 267GBP for changing the rear brake pads only!!! Kwikfit would be 130 GBP. So far I spent 170 GBP on new pads and discs and I am not willing to spend another 270 GBP on the pads only. Is there any reasonable mechanic/garage out there? I told the dealer that I am aware of an offer for 270 GBP changing the pads and discs and he said the VRSs are excluded. Great....
  12. I don`t know. I booked an inspection at skoda Watford this Friday. Let`s see what they say. I`m really annoyed by this.
  13. This one is at the back. At the front i can see an audi sign😎
  14. Hello All, I am glad that I have found this site as I have access to so much useful info now The Vrs was one of my dream cars back in the day and roughly a month ago I made a quick decision and got my hands on a 2014 manual petrol black vrs love it. The rear brakes were really not in a good shape so I paid a visit to a local brake expert in Watford and had the discs and pads changed. After a week the pads started moving up and down for about a millimetre or two and gave a funny cracking noise sometime. I decided to take it back to him and he exchanged the pads last Thursday however they started making this noise again...any idea? This is getting really annoying. I paid 170GBP for the discs and pads. Sometimes I feel there is a good reason why Skoda dealers charge much more but get the job done.
