i want to replace my harmony head unit with a cd player from a existing skoda range as to keep standard looking, is there a direct replacement cd player i could use preferably a 6 disc changer head unit. my 6 disc changer in boot is not working as keeps saying "SURFACE" ive tried cleaning/blowing it out etc. but would rather have the ease of a in dash changer

had the same problem on my vrs, p1555 boost reached upper limit. found vacum hose from turbo to valve was split at the 90 degree bend were it attaches to valve. repaired the hose reset light and hey presto drives a treat, no flat spot/hesitation. hope this helps

update regarding this fault, the throttle response from cold is still an issue even after cleaning throttle body. now esp light comes on goes into limp mode resets after turning ignition off but warning triangle illuminates which resets after turning ignition on/off 5 times fault codes relate to throttle valve position sensor 2. and in abs/esp can related fault from engine control module. reset light and carried out a throttle relearn with kts machine. is likely a throttle body fault due to this problem previous stated as can hold throttle steady and car will accellerate quite abrubtley and then shut off without moving pedal. really annoying

coil recall how would i find out if it has and must be out of warranty at 54plate or is there an extension on this part/s

As new to owning a octavia vrs i am not sure if this problem is normal, on cold start up and wen driving on light throttle the car seems to shut off quite abrubtly as if turbo is switched off. it gets better wen engine warms up, no engine warning light on and no fault codes stored (checked with bosch kts). it feels as if the throttle is shut off and then back on again it will also seem to accelerate without actually pressing throttle further down the rev range seems to be around 1500rpm to 2500rpm any clues/info would be appreciated. appart from this little quirk i love the car its a 54plate 1.8turbo with 104k on the clock, full service history

just bought a mk 1 octavia vrs and love it xx. replaces my mk 1 occy tdi elegance estate which is now up for sale 110k mint green metallic lovely car, shame to let her go. any one interested give me a call on 07950524676 will post some pictures later on

help please 1.9tdi octavia car feels vey sluggish and engine tone sounds as though it is running retarded.when really cold engine pulls fine but as soon as it starts to warm up it this happens it feels as if the maf sensor is faulty. i have fitted new coolent sensor and new maf sensor is there anything else it could be, been told it may want timing resetting, mileage is 77k
