Remapped 2.0 TFSI Octavia estate 2009 £4000 116k miles
116k miles. For sale as the GF ended up learning auto only and we would struggle to get reasonable insurance for a new driver, and for financial reasons need to move to a one car household. Bought a yeti! This 2.0 petrol TFSI VRS was registered in August 2009. The car is in Royston, North Herts. Revo remapped stage 2 (mentioned on service print outs, but I have no dyno, no other proof). Previous insurance docs in history file mention 230bhp, but to be honest, maybe they wrote that down for insurance eyes, but it's higher. My insurance accepted that figure. When I spoke to revo and listed the modifications, they said it was good for 240 -270ps depending on fuel quality. I recently got a new clutch fitted by Quattro Tech Cambridge. They said it was remapped, but that is all I have 'proof' wise, that and the print out from Volkscraft. PLEASE GET A QUOTE ON INSURANCE BEFORE YOU TRAVEL. Uprated bottom engine mount. Audi TTRS short shifter. ITG Maxogen Carbon Fibre Air Intake (has just had new filter). Whiteline rear anti roll bar. Whiteline anti lift kit. Brakes R32 Front and rear callipers. I am not a modified car guy, I am unlikely to be able to answer any super technical questions. I just wanted a fast estate that could also carry a load to the tip, and that's exactly what it has been. A great all rounder. I'm 48, I enjoy the performance, but I have not been going around corners sideways. DETAILED SERVICE HISTORY. 14 stamps in book, with paperwork to back up. Last service 09/05/24. Over £15k spent on maintaining and repairing this car over the years. Big file. Full service record print out from Volkscraft 2009-2017 and plenty of paperwork since. Old mots. Printouts with card receipts. Includes timing chain and tensioners. Took off private plate V123 VRS, available for extra £300 should be puzzled by gov mot checker. LESS THAN ONE YEAR OLD SACHS HELIX CLUTCH and Sachs Flywheel fitted at over £1500, fitted by Quattro Tech Cambridge, have paperwork. JUST REFURBISHED ALLOYS, dripped, stripped, scratch repaired and resprayed by Ansell Alloys of Nuthampstead. Perfect. Bodywork straight. Tow bar fitted by previous owner, I've never towed. No engine lights. No timing chain rattle. Interior clean. Seats good, one small patch of snagged black material nearside rear passenger seat. Next MOT 13 October 2025. Advisories CV boot and 2 new tyres have been done. Left corroded front springs. Aren't they all, and need to draw a line under car. Bad news - small rust patches beginning on sills both sides behind front wheels. Usual stone chips standard with a car registered in 2009. Window tint plastic has a tiny rip on rear window where a load has scratched it Car has been cleaned but not machine polished or pro valeted. Please ring or email with any questions, and for more pics. I've made an excel doc on everything spent on the car I have paperwork for. Feel free to ask for that, I can email it to you. Car drives great, pulls well, fantastic brakes. I don't think I will be wasting your time should you come to test drive.

PLATE SALE V123 VRS? Price?
Anyone understand what this plate could be worth? Currently sat on a 2009 octavia vrs estate. Need to sell the car. Wondering if I should split the plate off. Plate buying companies want you to put in how much you want for the plate on their quote systems. Which seems a nice way for them to offer as low as poss. Any idea what a plate like that might be worth, there are a lot of VRS fans...

Stage 2 Octavia Mk2 VRS clutch slipping?
Two months back I bought a 2009 TFSI VRS Octavia manual. Stage 2 Revo remapped in 2011. Huge stack of paperwork with the car, and it looks well cared for. The car has various other upgrades eg. ITG Maxogen intake, R32 brakes, Audi tt rs short shifter, Milltek exhaust etc. Serviced religiously. Revo have told me it's likely to be around 260hp on high octane fuel, which I do use. The car is on 109k miles, and seems to have had three (!) Sachs organic clutches...so far. Gulp. Within the last week as I push the accelerator in gears 3-6 the revs jump, then settle down again, and with less aggressive pedal, the speed and revs climb as normal. The car also revs on hills, but the power isn't there. The clutch has always been tough to push down but I'd put that down to it being a heavy duty clutch. I'm assuming it is the clutch slipping, but the car had a new one in 2019, along with a dmfw. The cars had a whistle from the engine bay on acceleration which I had assumed (not being a modified car guy until now) was just part and parcel of the tuning / normal turbo noise, but maybe it's a split pipe. Any suggestions on what clutch I should be fitting, and why it's eating clutches... And if you'd just gambled on an ancient modified VRS TFSI, what should I be saving up for / having sorted as a preventative measure?

Right price? 2009 Skoda Octavia 2.0T FSI vRS
Thanks. Good advice. Yet to see the service history, but I'm told there's a thick file. Ideally I see timing chain somewhere in there. https://www.parclanecars.co.uk/warranty/ The warranty they offer is total joke, so it's either it's in the file or do it straight away yourself I reckon.

Right price? 2009 Skoda Octavia 2.0T FSI vRS
Thanks both. I'm currently reading horror story after horror story re these engines. I guess it's better to suck it up and pay in advance for the tensioners etc than pay for a totalled engine. I can see there are upgraded parts available for the clogged rings - but again not cheap. Thanks for the pointers. Often seems weird doesn't it, that manufacturing companies of such huge scale and experience can get it so wrong.

Right price? 2009 Skoda Octavia 2.0T FSI vRS
I currently drive an old workhorse - an 2008 Octavia VRS estate, PD engine. I really love the car but various issues means it's beginning to feel like throwing good money after bad. I am thinking about getting this car as a replacement: https://www.parclanecars.co.uk/used/cars/skoda-octavia-20t-fsi-vrs-5dr-comprehensive-documented-service-history-11370/ And have put a deposit down on it, off to see it Saturday morning. I don't know modified cars, I've never run one, but I would enjoy it the power being available. I've checked I can afford the insurance with mods mentioned, and this car looks well looked after. Two questions - do the modifications look well thought out, and what do you think of the asking price? Cheers, Nick

Right price? 2009 Skoda Octavia 2.0T FSI vRS
Hi, Apologies if this isn't allowed, is in the wrong place, etc, I'm new. I currently drive an old workhorse - an 2008 Octavia VRS estate, PD engine. I really love the car but it never got a good paint job at the factory, and it's flaking off all over. I am thinking about getting this car as a replacement: https://www.parclanecars.co.uk/used/cars/skoda-octavia-20t-fsi-vrs-5dr-comprehensive-documented-service-history-11370/ And have put a deposit down on it, off to see it Saturday morning. I don't know modified cars, but I would enjoy more oomph, I've checked I can afford the insurance with mods mentioned, and this car looks well looked after. Two questions - do the modifications look well thought out, and what do you think of the asking price? MODS - if this isn't allowed, please delete, sorry. Cheers, Nick
