So all fixed, sailed through the MOT after the after CAT O2 sensor was changed, Embarrassed to say the car wasn't running on, it was the fan rubbing on the cold air inlet pipe.

Hi Guys, I have the 1.4 TSI Twincharged unit in my ibiza cupra. I hope you dont mind me posting here! The engine was replaced with a fresh rebuilt unit a little over a year ago. Since then it has been running great, I recently fitted a sports CAT downpipe, larger intercooler, And got a stage 2 REVO MAP. Still running Great! But I have failed the MOT on too high CO and HC at Idle, at 2500 rpm the levels were pretty clean. I cant quite figure it out, I first thought it could be the CAT, but i made sure it was hot before teh second test and it made no difference. The car is definetly over fuelling / running rich at idle. Could it be the injectors sticking/ leaking? Very grateful for some help.

Long time lurker... But now I need some help my 1.4 CAVE on my 6J Cupra 2011 has given up the ghost, kaput, done, had it. Next to no compression in cylinder 3 and low on cylinder 2. The garage I bought it from will change all the pistons at their cost. I understand that their is a fundamental issue with these pistons and I fear I won't get an upgraded part I wonder if anyone has a part number for the upgraded pistons or recommend which pistons to go for.
