Wiring diagram for the loom under the windshield? The one that connects the ECU loom with the interior one.
Hi to everyone, sorry if im posting this in the wrong place. I have a 2003 Octavia Mk1 with the BFQ engine, and had trouble with the wiring loom, it was repaired poorly and had problems for a while. i took it out, and wanted to see where some wires go, especially the ones that connect the engine loom with the interior loom, which is located under the windshield. Unfortunately, i dont really have the dexterity or knowledge to research some wiring diagram, yet alone to understand them. I know one connection is for the cruise control, one has the signal for the back up sensor, but otherwise, i'm completely lost. I can see that 5 plugs are 10 pin ones, and one is a 6 pin. There is also a connector located near the battery, that also connects engine wiring to the car wiring, i presume that is for AC or radiator fans/sensors. If somebody has some information, that would be lovely and really appreciated. Thank you in advance!!

Octavia Mk1 1.6 BFQ Gearbox upgrade.
Hi guys. I don't know if someone has done it or if it was talked before, but i want to upgrade my gearbox. I have a 1.6 SR BFQ with some modifications. 162HP after boosting it. The problem is that after a couple of launch controls and such, managed to brake my gearbox, mainly my differential (EMU BLACK, Launch control at 4000rpm). Wanted to know if there is a way bolt on some kind of gearbox that is more durable. Diesel gearbox or 1.8t or such. Want to keep the 5 speed, don't need the 6 speed. If i were to put on a 1.8T or 1.9 gearbox, what would be necessary to change or is the bolt pattern even the same or the clutch (dont really have a problem with the 1.6 clutch, it holds up really good).

Octavia Mk1 brake upgrade.
You need to change the lower arm as well with the TT knuckle?

Octavia Mk1 brake upgrade.
Hi y'all. Had a 1.8t swapped in a 1.6 chassis, and I'm looking to upgrade by brakes as well. I know the stock 1.6 knuckles won't do it, so I'm thinking swapping them for a vrs or golf/bora 4motion knuckles. Question is, what oem+ parts should I put? Don't really wanna go brembo / porsche calipers, so perhaps r32 calipers, or TT brakes? If someone had already did it, or there are threats, I'd be happy to know about it. Not looking to push alot of power, but the brakes looks small with a 17"/18" wheel. Thanks in advance!

Rear Mk1 vRS Bumper Cutout
Hi y'all! I've managed to wreck my rear vRS bumper, and i was wondering if i could buy a non-vRS bumper and cut the exhaust cutout myself. I can hardly find a vRS rear bumper. Are there any markings on the interior side where i can see where to cut? If not is there a site/document where i can find it? I want to fit the milotec rear diffuser later on, so the cut needs to be precise. Any help? Thanks in advance.

Conversion from drum brakes to disc brakes.
Hi guys! I was wondering how hard would be to do the conversion from drum brakes to discs brakes. My drums are failing and the subframe is pretty rusted, with holes. I managed to get a subframe with disc brakes and calipers. The only thing that I'm not sure is about the ABS. The drum brakes don't have them, as far as I know, but what about the new calipers? Can I run without the ABS? Also, does the Octavia I subframe match with one from the Golf4? (Cuz I can't to the conversion, I can sell it pretty fast) Thanks in advance!

Aftermarket radio with the steering wheel commands?
Hey! I was wondering if there is any way to connect an aftermarket radio to the volume buttons on the steering wheel? Is there some kind of adapter, or what radio does come with the module? I would love to use the steering wheel commands :)) (I have an old-ish jvc player fyi.)
