  1. And initial deposit gone forever........
  2. Depreciation will be based on the list price which I already demolished. PCP deposit was over 6k. After three years you give the car back. That money is gone. I get PCP as a product but ultimately that initial deposit is money down the drain. I was in a lucky position to have some money saved and then a loan to bridge the gap.
  3. 3. Maybe more. See how it goes. But it’s mine to sell.
  4. That was the plan but was busy driving from Great Yarmouth to Cardiff! At speed. 😉
  5. So it was always the plan to take Mr Skoda’s finance offer and PCP then settle early. This is has now been done. Did it within 14 days they were only able to charge me £43 interest on £20800 of PCP! No catch 5 minute phone call job done. Savings and Bank loan to settle so for same money per month as PCP I now have a 2.9% loan and a car that I own. List St price on mine was £33800 paid £27300 through drive the deal. Happy days.
  6. All noted. Actually quite impressed with the PZeros so far, not my preference but will roll with it!
  7. Goes without saying! Black is scientifically a faster colour!
  8. Yes I was. Qualified with back in the day as a long time has passed. It has little relevance to my post other than to indicate that I understand how dealers operate. Primo oil but crap tyres? The crap tyres reinforces my theory of buying the cheapest components a available at the time! It matters not. It’s my assumption and I own it. Oil and filter changed next Tuesday. 👍😃
  9. As I said it is an assumption. But mass produced vehicles costed to the last penny. Do you really think VAG are going to put primo oil in every vehicle they build? Its cheap to do and has the benefit of removing any excess metals from machining processes in the engine manufacture stage and replacing with fresh metal free oil.
  10. Ok. Having come from a Disco 4 and the associated mega threads on D4 pages regarding oil I have read this one with interest. I definitely do not want to upset anyone and everyone has views and opinions on oil and it can be quite divisive! But these things I do know! From being trained as a tech and working in a dealer workshop and being a service advisor back in the day! 1 Any engine least of all the EA 888 will not go “bang” because 5W30 is being run instead of 0W20. If in the likely event an engine did go “bang” it would have nothing to do with the above lubricants. The operating parameters of the engine and it’s lubrication are wide. Skoda could or would not wriggle out of anything as dealers and workshops put what they have most of in the car! Also the fact that if you put your reg into most of the major oil manufacturers it comes back as 5W30! It is a highly unlikely scenario. The Disco 4 snaps it’s crank with an alarming regularity. Oil type and condition has nothing to do with it. It’s a harmonic vibration which does it. But it still does not stop peeps changing the oil every 3K! And arguing infinitum about what grade! 2 0W20 is put in for one reason only. Less friction to reduce emissions. End of. 3 I make this assumption with all my new vehicles. Mostly bikes, my vRS will only my 2nd ever new car. The oil put in at the factory is utter crap. On return from the dealer and a cool down the oil and filter will be replaced. With OEM+ Oil and Filter. In my case this will be Castrol Edge 5W/30 with a VAG filter. My 5p worth! 2 Days till vRS time!
  11. Which is why all of the Met Police Traffic / ARVs are automatic and have been for many years. Pads and discs way cheaper than a gearbox!
  12. Yep would be cool. checked shifts I am working on the Saturday but off on the Sunday.
  13. Ordered 10th May Build week 52 ( 5th August ) On boat week 53 At dealer 26th August Collection 2nd September!
  14. It will have been run in already by the guys in Germany putting it on the boat and UK who I used to watch hammering them off the boat at Avonmouth docks! I will drive it as it is meant to be driven. I have fresh oil and decent filter waiting for the next day. Which is something I have always done with my new vehicles.
  15. New car on Monday 2nd! Pick up Great Yarmouth back cross country for night shift! Will not be attempting 45MPG!
  16. Yep. Have the full kit to do it proper and access to a garage. Ta
