Will do this. Thanks for the tip.

    New order

I'll check what date the order was accepted. We queries when the shutdown happens and just got June or July for a few weeks as a response. Not really bothered about taking delivery in August. The letters and numbers on the registration plate don't bother us. Pretty sure it will be built after the shut down as we've already been told our car will have new features.

Fingers crossed! I see lots of complaints but no one ever speaks up when there isn't a problem, they just sit quietly at the sideline.

I think blind spot monitoring is an extra?

    New order

True. But we are planning a holiday for September and are hoping for the car plus we were told 10 weeks 2 weeks ago so that only leaves 8.

    New order

Orders a new Karoq and build week is still TBC. Spoke to the dealer and they said: This is because the factory are preparing for the model year change. In practical terms it means your vehicle will be the latest updated version. The two updates will be the Skoda badge will be replaced with the word Skoda across the rear of the vehicle, as per the new Skoda Scala, and you get a larger SD card for sat nav data storage, allowing you to hold a larger map database at any given time: up from 16GB to 32GB Just hope we don't have to wait until September. We were quoted a lead time of 10 weeks based on current delivery rates.
  8. We're not getting them free but we've already had a health chunk of £ knocked off the list price by going through Carwow.
  9. I've checked with the dealer at we get 2 services. First at 1 year or 10,000 miles and the second at 20,000 miles or 2 years. Seeing as we are unlikely to do more than 8,000 miles per year this works well for us. The first service is just oil and filter change. The second includes a bit more such as replacement pollen filter etc. For £159 this is excellent value.
  10. Don't know about wash and vacuuum, but it covers all servicing required for 2 years.
  11. We got a 2 year service package for £159 which I feel is very reasonable considering at a bare minimum bits going to include oil and oil filter changes while not harming our warranty, which would be the case if I did it myself.
  12. The test drive was great. We are convinced. Pit down a deposit on an SE model today but after thinking it over we are going to call the dealer tomorrow and upgrade to a SE L.
  13. Thank you. IIRC hill start is an option for the car. One we won't be choosing.
  14. Thank you. I've replied to that message. Very useful information. Will read the recommended threads as suggested.
  15. Thank you for the very detailed reply. I'll check warranty implications with the delaership regarding DIY servicing. If it has an impact I'll just cough up for servicing during the warranty period as it's not worth voiding this.
  16. I'm reading a few bad reviews about the manual 1.5 petrol, specifically to do with the vehicle lunging at low speed and from a standing start. https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/owner-reviews/skoda/karoq-2017/?review=6777#selected Can anyone verify this?
  17. Will do! Excited to take this for a spin. Unfortunately my local dealer doesn't have the 1.5 petrol manual on their forecourt so we are taking the automatic 1.5 petrol out. Should give me a good enough feel for the car.
  18. Thank you for the detailed reply. It will be the 1.5l Petrol 6 speed manual. I'll do most of the servicing myself as it's significantly cheaper this way. Only issue I forsee would be the software updates. I assume these would be for the infortaninment system?
  19. Looking at buying a Karoq myself. I've watched loads of review videos and it seems perfect. Will find out on the test drive!
  20. Hello. Is there a way for me to find out details on service intervals and requirements. I tend to carry out my own servicing and want to know what is required in first 4 years or 40,000 miles. Thank you in advance.
  21. Hello forum members. Just wanted to drop in and say Hi! Going to test drive a Karoq later this week. Hopefully it lives up to expectations.
