Following a recent transmission replacement the front NS drive shaft sheared, the garage had not secured it properly ( according to RAC patrol) . Since replacing the driveshaft there is a clatter and vibration when applying right lock. Any deviation from center. Garage has fobbed me off with tyre wear, so replaced tyre. Problem remains. I am presuming a part of the drive train got warped when the drive shaft sheared. Any suggestion which parts could have been warped/ bent?

Oh, right, Very useful sheet, thank you- I( hadI just assumed the plus VAT ) - unfortunately the service ((5 weeks /2000 mles ago) wasn't done by a main dealer, hence Skoda wanting to do their own. That said the scurfing noise was there before the service, so if it had been from the DSG they would have found filings /debris in the old oil??

I have the 6 speedd (wet/dry?.) Just trying g to get Skodw to even consider the clutch is an issue - insisting on doing a DSG oil service first (£220 plus AT) even though i just had it done!

Hi, I have the same issue. Did you ever get this resolved?

Thanks Slaine - think that's the way I'm heading too. But you'ld think Skoda would be up to 130 miles a day. My last manual clutch did 120000.

Superb Mk2 A/C Air Conditioning problem
jonty1960 replied to HantsTaxiDriver's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Good, sort of, to hear you have the exact same issue with a mark 2 Superb. It has stumped 3 garages locally. 2 regassed, though they said pressure was good (why regas then?) I3rd then suggested I need a new compressor, £500 but no guarantee it would fix it (and no refund!!!) I decided to limp on with intermittent AC. It now appears, from an engineers report I found among the paperwork, that the issue was raised by the first owner shortly after purchase. Skodas engineer said everything was fine and that the aircon was expected to cut out occasionally - huh??? A friend with a similar age VW Tuareg reports an almost identical issue - maybe it's a VAG issue? I've finally found, hopefully, a more expert and experienced garage and, with luck, I'll be able to report success soon. Showing them the forum post may help point them to a solution
