Anyone tried to use one of these on a later car? I am only wanting to upload the ECU contents having looked around in some other posts it mentions removing fuse 14 the software comes back with ECU not found. Any help would be greatful otherwise it will be back on ebay.

I am looking for some OZ wheels but not sure what size tyres are best given that the suspension will be standard and not lowered as i wish to keep my warrenty, Also anyone around the Leeds area with a remapped VRS who would care to take me for a blast just so i can compare the difference.

Just a quicky as anyone had a map from these guys looks like good value for a standard remap but i would like to know your thoughts

I am considering selling the above,i love the car but dont use it much, Got it in April done 1000 miles and of course still mint. Anyone any ideas on what i would expect to get for it?

Got my dates mixed up car actually went in this morning and yes the stutter is no longer, not even the slightest blip, so the fix is get the from me and now i can enjoy my VRS LTD to the full:D .

I agree with you that the fix should be done at the production line but why would you except a brand new car with a defect like this personally if they cant fix it under my rights i will reject the car.

My VRS Ltd as got this and is back in on Wednesday to have this gasket done, my dealer is fully aware of the issue, So i would just lets your get on with it thats why you buy a new car.

My VRS LTD started as soon as i drove it out at first i thought it was me but after driving it for a week it's having to go in tomorrow. When i explained the problem between 1600 - 1800 rpm the car stutters (with a bit of a bang) she looked daft at me as if they had not seen this before!. Will it get fixed the first time?

I got mine on Friday but the dealer told me that SUK will not let them sell the showroom car until they have got all the allocated cars (14) but all is not rosie as they took delivery of 3 more on Friday that's 5 in total with the showroom car but cannot give any delivery dates for the other's with 11 cars sold someone will be in for a wait.

I have had a 1.9tdi for the last 6 days and found it great plenty of pull and 500 miles for £40 dont think you could want much better but i do think it would be a struggle with anything less then a 1.6 once fully loaded.

Just been informed from my dealer in Leeds that SUK decided that all the dealers must get two cars one for the showroom and the other for the first customer (I am the second!) before there remaining allocation 12 cars per dealer could be called. This as now been completed and as from Thursday this week they can call there remaining cars, He is expecting to get delivery early next week with the cars to be ready for the following week. Hopefully we should all have our cars within the next 2-3 weeks.

I have oredered a VRS Limited and have seen one and i must say they are very nice indeed and the performance from 0-60 might not be hot hatch once rolling it will keep the pace quite easily. My option on the new one yes it will be better but you still will have the same after market add-ons to make it better and cost £££. I found that the car for me handle's and drive OK whislt returning over 50 MPG if you want a performance car you then you need to pay perfomance money i have part - ex a Subaru Impreza STI Prodrive for one due to the running cost 15-20mpg:confused: Service cost of £300-£800, Insurance you are looking at £2K per year to keep the car on the road before fuel you cannot leave it out unless you want some T**T to try and steal it whilst the VRS is not an STI it cost a 1/4 of that to keep it on the road and and i think is good value for money and the last thing you can use it.

Like most not sure about the number and the seat badge looks like it's stuck on lots of effort gone into that by SUK! Looks like i will have to to regular visits to my dealer to ensure that mines not in the showroom should'nt they give the cars to the people who order them first then put one in the showroom for everyone to look at i think it stinks what SUK are doing.
