  1. The error of the GPS is possible, if not likely. More so, I'm getting paid by the mile for using my car, therefore for possible GPS errors I need an accurate trip meter to see, if the GPS had any mistakes or errors. I've actually measured the distance with map tools and my previous car was great on accurate distance reading (19" wheels though). A known distance of 64,5 kilometers was around 66,5 kilometers yesterday with the 16" wheeler, so the distance error seems to be at least 3,2% or so. In time it will accumulate quite much and as mentioned, I'm used to having an accurate trip meter.
  2. I've contacted the service, as it indeed still has 2 few months left of warranty (registered 6/2020). Let's see, what they'll say, I don't have high hopes though.
  3. Hi, I've got an Octavia 3 G-Tec (2020), which has a pretty bad speedometer calibration. The tires are 205/55R16, and when driving 100 km/h (speedometer) the real speed is somewhere around 94 km/h. That wouldn't bother me otherwise, but it seems that it affects the mileage display too. I drive with my car a lot on workdays and have a GPS tracker so my employer pays me for the mileage I've had to use my car for work. I also keep a backup of my mileage on paper and I've written the start and end mileage on it. Last month the difference was about 10% (GPS says 452 km and my notes say 497 km). Usually I wouldn't mind if it was off a bit, but that is too much. Can we adjust the speedometer error with VCDS? If, how? Wouldn't want to buy new rims for that. Thanks in advance!
  4. No, there is no obvious damage. Do you have to take the tailgate trims out (both lower and upper) to get access to the light unit? I tried this today after several weeks of hibernation on this matter (lack of time) and there are some clips that are TIGHT. I was afraid the trim might get damaged and thought to ask for instructions, if there are any. :')
  5. The brake light next to washer jet doesn't light up anymore when applying brakes. Error code shows after starting the engine and applying brakes. Turn the engine off, start again and no error codes. After engine has been started and error appears, VCDS says: "11274 - Bulb for Center Brake Light B12C6 15 [009] - Open or Short to Plus Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 1 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 28" Any idea what might be the solution? Does the light have a separate fuse? Do I have to replace the whole lamp, what's the part number? Have the wires been prone to break? How does the wiring cover come off from the tailgate? Many questions but I haven't had this issue with the car so far and I've got no clue on how to disassemble the tailgate plastics etc. Better be prepared if someone has experience already on this matter. 👍🏻
  6. Does anyone have part numbers for the clock spring mechanism? Any additional wirings for the heated wheel or changing completely to a different wiring?
  7. Yeah, this worked. I checked for the other available codes, it seemed that I could enable the ultrasonic sensors for someone moving inside the cabin. Any info on the sensor part numbers? I checked under the rearview mirror plastic housing, there were no sensors installed, although there were fittings for them. If the wirings were there already, it would be quite easy to install them.
  8. I'm thinking of purchasing a paddle shift wheel with heater element. Is the airbag identical between the variants or do I have to purchase a new airbag? How about the center piece which transfers the electrical connections to the wheel, which is the correct part? Any part numbers?
  9. Apparently we don't, because someone bought a 54k € car and didn't need a 330 € alarm system. 😄
  10. I got a 2017 Superb Combi 2.0 TDI 4X4 L&K a few months ago, which has every other box ticked but no factory fitted alarm. Is it possible to install it, if, what are the part numbers? For coding, I've got VCDS. I'd like to get the level sensors, towing protection, inside movement sensor and siren working. The car was made for the Finnish market, I don't know if I already have some parts installed or not.
  11. 1,6 hours of labor plus adjusting the chassis and radars. It most likely won't be covered under anything.
  12. Mine had the number 3 bushes replaced and is awaiting for a goodwill refund decision from manufacturer. I bet they will refund nothing. But hey, no sound anymore from the DCC!
