If you need a 12v supply you'd be better going off the fuse box.

Sometimes there is a small nipple that you can run a wire through, otherwise you have to poke a hole in the rubber boot, being VERY careful not to damage the loom.

If it's a DSG you can go through the blanking grommet behind the pedal box, if it's a manual you can get through the grommet for the main loom behind the battery, but it's a bit of a PITA.

The orange piece is a locking device.

Prise the orange piece up with a sharp point, and the connector should pull out.

Many car manufacturers use common looms and just make the appropriate connections at the assembly stage. You know how it goes, you're poking about in the wiring and there are all kinds of plugs going nowhere. I am wanting to upgrade the antenna on my 2016 Yeti SE to DAB, and I'm hoping someone knows if the cable for a DAB antenna is present. It will save hours of work if this is the case. You should reject them and insist on the correct tyres be fitted ASAP. The smaller diameter will affect your speedos accuracy and will likely negatively affect your fuel economy. On top of that you should never fit non standard tyres as it could invalidate your insurance.

Thanks for such a comprehensive reply. They don't make it easy! It looks like swapping the unit would be the best option. Have you anything that would do the job?

My 2016 SE has a Bolero head unit with one USB port near the gearshift which I use for Android Auto. I am thinking of adding a Dension USB DAB adapter which, as the name suggests, requires its own USB port. I suppose I could use a USB splitter, but if possible I would prefer to keep the cabling as discreet as possible. Does anyone know if the Bolero has any additional USB outputs ? Or can DAB be added as an OEM upgrade?
