I have a 2014 mk 2 Monte Carlo estate. I had a 2011 mk 2 1.2tsi. It had heated seats but they weren’t the best looking. The seats in the Monte Carlo look great but missing the heated element. I bought after market heated seat covers from eBay. They connect to the 12v but they aren’t very good. Anyone know what model has heated ones that are nice? If upgrading to mk3 ones would I have fitting issues or is it the same as mk2?

Recently bought a Monte Carlo 1.6tdi 2014 with 83000 miles. Had a 1.2 2011 tsi, still go it, now selling. Put a new battery in the tdi. Is a remap worth it or will it kill the engine at that mileage? I want the performance and gains but without blowing it up. It had a lady owner for years so it’s not been driven hard and mostly motorway miles. Any other advice on what is a common thing to fix? There is some corrosion coming through on the window seal(if that’s what it’s called) can this be replaced and who does it? Front bottom right fog light cluster has bad condensation. Previous owner drilled a hole in it to fix. Is it worth replacing it and can it be done without taking the bumper off. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
