Sat in traffic in France today outside temp 34 C but inside the wife wanted a cardigan ! Maybe I am lucky but my octy kept us cool !

Its a Skoda ..bullet proof ..nuff said !!

I installed mk 5 golf seats without any mods and 50 quid for a full set ront and back was worth it but after a while the origianl skoda seats were put back in as golf ones lost support quick ..maybe try audi next !

I went for the change at 4 years because skoda dealer has an offer until end of october of 100 pounds off so will be under 300 .mine is on 40k miles and i could wait for the mileage but it will cost more by then ..my view anyway .

Mine is on Variable and just had it done after 18k miles since the last one .I do mixed driving ,motorway ,urban and tow a caravan .

My dealer says 4 years or 95k miles .Mine will be 4 years old december so decided to have it done even though only 42k on the clock .The dealer is offering 100 pounds off the usual price if booked by end of october .My previous mark 1 octy was fine and changed the belt at 80k miles even though over 6 years old .Confusing I agree but if the belt snaps its a very big expensive job !

Lumbar support or lack of is common with octy seats .I changed my front ones for golf seats which are better and a straight swop with no mods needed .

In my case the Cam belt needs changing at 95k miles or 4 years I am told by the dealer .They have an offer of 100 pounds of at the moment so will get it done as will be 4 years this year .

I had a mark 1 before my current mark2 .It was pretty good but had some known faults fixed .windscren wiper motor packed up /clutch cable clip snapped ,gear box poor and had to be replaced .If you can stretch to a mark 2 they are more reliable .Good luck

I ended up replacing the motor to fix this issue .Its a common fault .

Had this issue and its commom due to the location of the parts allowing the weather in .My motor was replaced in the end to solve it .

I had this clip snap and its common ..my local garage replaced it with a sturdier one .

My octy seats killed my back so I swopped the front ones for golf mark5 ones which are much better .No mods needed as straight swap and airbag connection the same .I got a full set of golf seats for 50 quid of ebay .hope that helps .
