Realise this is an old thread but does anyone know the rough size of mesh I’d need to purchase. I’m away and I wouldn’t trust my son to give me exact dimensions

Anyone want 4 standard VRS 16’s with good tyres in South Wales? Have to be worth £180 right?

Cheers. 205/40 budgets being fitted tomorrow. My lads is no racer, just wants the car to look smart. £180 for the four, fitted and he gets to keep his 225/45 so a little return right there.

Okay then, so the 225s are out. Will the car be safe for my lad with either 205 or 215/40/17 tyres or are the TT alloys really not suitable? Ive seen them done on here so what’s the story?

I’ve checked the search function and my enquiry doesn’t seem to have been answered. My lad purchased a set of TT Ronals yesterday with 225/45/17s and has complained of rubbing in one rear wheel and a 3 finger gap on 3 but only a 2 finger gap on one. I understand that profile may be too large and they need to be 205 or 215, but if I fit a Stance+ coilovers setup will he still be in the same boat or could he run it at standard height without the sagging corner and the lower it once he fits the shallower profile?

I’ve had 3 different sets fitted to my T5 over the last 5 years since having the wheels powder coated. My advice is don’t! The ruined the powdercoat under the alloygator. If you have polished lips then maybe, otherwise I’d stay clear. I kept changing them to keep them looking as new as they do get torn up if you kerb the wheels. They do however supply a key ring with a dressed edge so you can ‘skin’ them to shave off any minor damage.

Hey all, Not usually one to frequent car forums as I’m a bit old now and did all that quite a few years back and now prefer my bikes. I'm needing some wheel/suspension info for my lads newly purchased 6Y 2004 Black 1.9 TDi vRS. Its his second Fabia, his first a ginger coloured 02 estate was recently written off when a previously convicted drunk driver got her licence back and drunk 10 pints before ploughing into his parked car late at night! Ill be sure to ask the technical stuff in the appropriate forum area. cheers
