I have experienced the same after a car wash, I have opened the bonnet to direct sunlight so it dries any water , working fine since then

It turned to be the lock spring inside the Steering lock assembly which prevents from cranking if the Engine is already running, just removed it 😄 now I need to be careful not to crank if the engine is running haha

Yeah that’s what we suspect, I don’t know if I can remove the barrel without removing the whole steering lock assembly though I gave that a shot but still didn’t work

Hello everyone, my Fabia MK2 1.6 Petrol having an ignition problem, the key is not turning to the cranking position. It turns to the first two clicks and the dash lights up but the cranking position is stuck. Steering lock is working fine, gear is also ok and not stuck and can move from P & N with no issue. any idea with this problem? I uploaded a video please check it Thanks
