  1. It's still worth it in my opinion.
  2. No, I don't think so. The price was EUR 17.95, which is £15.30 : http://www.amazon.de/MESTO-3132-FOAMER-Schaumsprüher-Liter/dp/B00E7I6WKI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376744017&sr=8-1&keywords=Mesto+Foamer
  3. I have just made a new thread with my video-review of the Mesto Foamer 1.5 liters: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/285624-the-mesto-foamer-15-liters/?p=3384742
  4. I have just bought a Mesto Foamer 1.5 liters pressure sprayer. It's a good alternative if you don't have a pressure washer with a foam gun/cannon/lance, but of course it is not as good at all - and it is not meant to be either. I like it. For a product of this size it's not bad. I have made a short presentation and review of the Mesto Foamer on Youtube (HD): . One advice - don't fill it as much with water as I did because there is not enough room for compressed air, even though I only filled it to the Max-mark. You can see it's spraying a lot better at the end of the video. I am using about 75 ml. Poorboy's World Slick and Suds for about 1.5 liters of water, but I am sure, I havn't found the best soap/water mix yet. Check it out if you like .
  5. Could you verify and stop the rattle coming from the door without removing the door card? I also have a rattle coming from the back of the car (estate). I hear it almost everytime I drive on a rough road, and I THINK I have narrowed it down to eminating from the boot lid. The front passenger seat also creaks a lot. Sound familiar to anyone?
  6. LOL - I actually thinks it looks good . Black and grey - much better than all those completely black cars in my opinion.
  7. Sounds good . Always great to see what other people have done to their cars - and perhaps I could get inspired to do something to my own.
  8. Pictures of my wheel as it looks with regular treatments with Poorboy's Leather Stuff (which also has UV blockers): It feels soft, good and not slippery or greazy at all - not even right after the application/treatment. But it is obvious, that it is well protected - which is good. (IF you spot the unusual bit on those pictures.... check out this thread: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/271207-chrome-trim-on-the-steering-wheel/ )
  9. Do like women: Don't think - just buy!! :D :D Seriously, it looks great .
  10. 1: Remove any large/hard particles with your vacuum cleaner taking care not to touch the plastic itself. You can also use an air blower for lenses* (like I do) - or a can of compressed air. 2: Mist a good, clean microfibre cloth with any glass cleaner that you use on your windscreen - and then gently wipe the plastic. A good microfibre cloth will not scratch! But if there is a small hard particle under a cloth, the plastic will get scratched no matter what you do or what you use. Keep that in mind. *Air blower for lenses - the one I use:
  11. I love chrome on a car . Be sure to post pictures when you get it installed!I tried to start a thread about chrome trims some time ago: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/279911-the-show-me-your-chrome-trims-thread/
  12. Buy a bottle of Poorboy's Leather Stuff and use it in a spray bottle diluted with water if you want a matte finish (I use 1:9), or use it undiluted if you want a shiny finish. It cleans very well and adds a good protection - and it makes your car smell like new again . Besides, a little goes a very long way. Spray it on and buff with a good MF cloth. It's very easy to work with.
  13. If you are talking to me - then yes, I'll probably make a video .
  14. They make thick foam that clings to the car. This means that the cleaning ingredients can more effectively dissolve- and loosen the dirt.
  15. I have just ordered a Mesto Foamer: http://www.amazon.de/MESTO-3132-FOAMER-Schaumsprüher-Liter/dp/B00E7I6WKI/ref=sr_1_2?s=garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1375982481&sr=1-2&keywords=Mesto+foamer http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/new-products-mesto-1-5-l-foamer-pressure-sprayer.html It should actually be rather good: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=311166 A pressure washer with a foam gun would be better of course, but for the time being I don't have that option. I am looking forward to trying it out .
  16. A very sad story! Try not to think too much about why someone did this. Sadly there may be no reason at all. I hope you get your car back in mint condition.
  17. Thank you for the update. I'll be crossing my fingers for you .
  18. Yes, I know I could avoid hitting the clear coat - but I am not the only one using the car . The black ones do look good too. I think it is a small price to pay to be safe.
  19. I got the kind with "steel"-inlays from my dealer. It seems to be these: http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/FABIA-II/Fabia-II-07-12-OEM-Skoda-door-sills-with-FABIA-logo . They are actually very sturdy and doesn't get scratched easily. I'm glad I bought them.
  20. They look great . A nice little detail. I think a darker green would be better for my car.
  21. You can use Photobucket and then post a link to the photo. That's what most people do.
