Thanks for the reply! It happened again recently. Also, when the outside temperature is high (+23C) the AC fails to cool the cabin properly. So I bit the bullet and had the car looked over by the Mechanic which turned a faulty compressor. But expensive of a repair but I don't want to let go of the Octi just yet. Thanks again!

Thanks Actually did have a leak in a valve last year so had the refrigerant topped up and valve replaced. Also, wouldn't explain the heating issue, only cooling.

Hello All, Hope to find some answers here. My 2007 Skoda Scout is throwing me some temperature issues. I am in Spain so the weather is getting quite hot at the moment. The other day I was driving and the AC just would not cool down. It was blowing enough air but it didn't matter the temperature setting it would just not blow any cold air. Unfortunately it is not the first time that it has happened, although it happens intermittently. Also, last christmas the heating wouldn't heat. I was driving cross country, 2/3C outside and the heating just didn't work. Again 22c?, something like that. This is the only time I experienced this one, but of course, Barcelona doesn't need that much heating. Finally, when these issues happen the central vents above my screen would be blowing close to no air. Don't know if this is directly or indirectly related, or is the result of mounting issues. I would think that the issue is thermostat going bad but wanted to run it by you lot before heading to the garage. As always, many thanks!

Hello All, My engine cover is completely ruined. The insulation is gone and the plastic cover itself is coming apart. When the engine (2.0tdi) is running you can hear quite a rattle. I can remove the engine cover and be fine with that. However, I want to check the possibility of mounting a new motor cover. Can anyone share the OEM number for this specific part? Thanks!

Hello all, I have an issue with my passenger window. When I roll it up, it bounces back to its lower position again. This happens independently of which method I use including remote key fob and door lock (as per the manual). To bring it all the way up I have to press little by little until the point where it normally bounces is "jumped". Then when it is about 2/3 up it stops again so I need to go all the way little by little to close the damn window. I have tried holding the button down for 5 seconds since reaching the bottom position and then try to bring it up to hold it for another 5 sec when in top position. But obviously it still bounces back mid-job. I have tried to follow the manual: turn the key in the lock of the driver door into the closing position and hold it there until all of the windows are closed release the key, again insert the key and turn it into the closing position for about 3 seconds. In both cases the issue to complete the cycle is that the window bounces back in its way back up. Can anyone shine a light here? I have been doing as much of a search as I can but I can find no other input that the two methods already tried. Video Demonstration Thank you for any help you can provide
