  1. Cleaned the terrible water spots off the windows, noticed them when I was washing it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. They were so bad the rear tinted windows looked like zebras when the windows were a little bit wet. Tried normal window cleaner, then half vinigar/half water, in the end I used some old car polish I had and some elbow grease. There's still some water spots on the drivers side especially (thank you previous owner or dealer for not drying the windows properly!) but they're 95% gone and means I can actually see out the side windows in the mornings now!
  2. First time I've heard this, haven't noticed a sticker on my 2017 superb saying this I might have missed it. If it helps, mine takes 3 litres of fluid (+/- a bit) once you get the 'bong' to say its getting low. Handy if you use the concentrate screenwash.
  3. Canton stereo DCC Led interior package (coloured led strip) Heated windscreen Rear heated seats Rear climate zone Smart light assist (£20 or £40 option) Virtual pedal Anthracite alloy wheels Keyless (kessy) Front parking sensors Those are the main things extra as standard, I found that the l&k models tended to specced with more options than the SE L models. Mine has the towbar, flappy paddle wheel, SLA with traffic sign recognition, rear camera, and vario boot floor. The DCC, canton stereo, heated screen and all round parking sensors were the big factors for me, and of course the led strips! 😁 When it's 6:30am and -3 degrees C and all I need to do is turn the engine on, turn on both heated front seats, turn on the front and rear heated screens and heated mirrors, then get the ice scraper out from the filler cap and scrape both front side windows, by the time that's done the windscreen is fully defrosted and I can drive away. Worth it.
  4. I thought it would be far more annoying than it is, but it's not an issue really.
  5. Yeah you can quite clearly see in that video the U shaped blank in the beam with high beam either side when they're following a car.
  6. I've set my individual mode to eco, and so use it all the time, on an auto it'll show "E" in the top right and the eco symbol on the bottom right. My commute to work involves 5 or so miles uphill then the same back down, traffic allowing I can do 3-4 miles without touching the accelerator. Even on the flat or a slight decline the car will barely lose any speed, which makes it much better for economy than engine braking. You can also do the F1 fuel saving strategy off 'lift and coast' 😁 As above it's easy to tell if its coasting as the rpm will drop to 900 on a 150tdi. There's no coasting with ACC activated though.
  7. Yeah, awesome bike - I've not had it long, upgraded some bits too, added some Hope and Sram eagle, and a oneup bar and stem. The weather the last few months has been dire though, wish it would stop raining!
  8. Tested out my towbar bike rack, finally using the superb floor what it was really bought for. It makes an already long car even longer, and due to my bike being very long and a size XXL, it still extends beyond the car each side! Only got a few mpg less than without it fitted, so happy with that. I have noticed recently that the air con has a decent impact on economy - sitting at a constant 73mpg on the instant mpg, turning on the air con would see it drop to 68! It's a shame the superb doesn't control the air con automatically like my 2006 Subaru did - left on auto it would turn on and off the air con depending on the temperature etc.
  9. The official skoda one is very good, folds out/away with just a lift of the flap. It was a must have for my car and I'm glad I got it rather then getting an aftermarket removable one fitted.
  10. Yes, see my post above. If its for the Superb the 25cm length is perfect to reach the rear of the cubby.
  11. SLA, active lane assist, ACC - all are safety technologies which just happen to make driving easier. Light assist - allows you to have a better view via a partial high beam whilst not blinding other cars Lane assist - stops drivers veering out of a lane and makes it so less need to constantly adjust to keep in your lane, which allows you to be more aware of cars around you/other drivers. ACC - no effort required to constantly adjust cruise control, again you can focus more on other cars. Do you also think the lights turning on when the wipers have been on for 30 seconds is a marketing gimmick? Imo that feature should be on all cars, along with lights which only allow you turn them off/not automatic if you're in P or handbrake on.
  12. At some point in 2017 there was a change in the infotainment screen, not sure if there were any spec changes with that, but my 17 model with the older screen doesn't have the heated wheel.
  13. The one time I've tried it, I only had to manually dip the beam once for 50+ cars. Very bloody clever it is. I would only use it on single carriageway roads, can see the central reservation on a motorway blocking the view.
  14. On my 2017 L&K there's quite a few options that don't come as standard. Sunroof, towbar, heated wheel, cooled seats, smart light assist, traffic sign recognition, multifunction wheel with paddles, rear seat release levers, sim card slot, heated washer nozzles, rear camera, all options. Mine has the towbar, wheel with paddles, smart light assist, traffic sign recognition, rear camera. As standard: tri zone climate, front and rear heated seats, front and rear parking sensors, DCC, led plus package with led strips, sunset glass, virtual pedal, canton stereo.
