  1. I've had the same - as mentioned on this thread:
  2. I also have the same problem. I thought it was something to do with which key I was using, but that's not the case. A factory reset with both keys in the car doesn't work to remove the primary user - and I can't switch to the primary user. Once it's got into the loop, you either have to turn off the infotainment to clear the spinner or turn the car off. I also noticed that the some of the physical buttons (e.g. mode) don't work once the software is in this state until the car has been reset (e.g. 30 mins idle)
  3. Do you get the signs in the HUD when the satnav is active? On mine at least, you have traffic assist on the left, speed in the middle and the right-hand 'third' of the HUD is where the promo materials show road signs, but I have only seen that active when the sat nav is navigating...
  4. My car has the same issue. Amongst others in the infotainment. It's back in next week for a checkup. I've had issues with the alarm too. I'm going to ask for a complete reset; the factory settings via the infotainment isn't working for me...
  5. I have RHD car and prefer the dash cam on the passenger side. 30cm wasn't long enough and 1m is far too long :(
  6. I've not had need to use the sat-nav yet, but I tried my home postcode to check out what it put in the HUD. I got the off-road experience too. Technically my house is off the road, but not my *that* much!
  7. FWIW, wireless mirroring trashes the battery, at least on iPhone - so you're better on a cable anyway IMHO
  8. As someone who has just had an Octavia written off, GAP is WELL worth it! The car was 2 days off 2 years old when a (drunk) van driver decided to push it through my front garden wall...without the GAP I'd have had a £73 deposit, after the finance had been settled...but thanks to GAP it's nearer £8000. As a result, I'm picking up my new (to me!) Superb MkIII tomorrow. Policy cost £200 or so (NOT from a dealer!). Money well spent.
  9. My list is not so long, but it looks like this: 1974 VW Type 2 tintop (stolen) 1992 Peugeot 205 'Style' (!) 1999 Focus 2005 Octavia II 2009 Superb II 2014 Octavia III (written off) and now waiting for insurance payouts to collect 2015 Superb III SEL 190 DSG Estate...can't wait!
  10. Although I've been registered on the site for some time, I've not been much of a poster (so far!). I've found myself in the unenviable position of having had my 3rd Skoda written off - spectacularly by an idiot in a van...while parked. I'd been vaguely looking for a Superb recently - but this spurred me on out of necessity. I've just secured a 2nd hand (!) 65 plate Superb SEL with 3k on the clock - just waiting for insurance companies to finalise the payments. If anyone had ANY doubts about taking GAP insurance...I hope this will sway your opinion! My insurance pays off the finance in full and I land up with a healthy deposit courtesy of the GAP provider. Happy days Looking forward to getting my hands on the new toy now!
  11. FWIW, I have just claimed on a policy from Click4Gap and they are in the process of settling (as far as I know!). They have various levels of cover, but make sure you read the small print!
  12. Managed to find a 2.0 TDI elegance on a 55 plate with only 14k on the clock which is quite nice. Changing from a focus largely due to the recent arrival of twins - and the need for (a) more MPG and ( a larger boot. This is a very useful site - found it after I'd bought the car last Saturday...doubtless will be a goldmine of info once i've picked the car up this Saturday... Hello to you all!
