Thanks for the replies, my apologies for not being able to reply sooner. I am going to see if i can get access this afternoon with the wheel at full lock. With a few of you mentioning not risking a helicoil as it being in an integral area, i believed that done correctly, a helicoil repair can be stronger than the original thread. Is this not true?

Whilst changing my brakes and discs a while back i was refitting the caliper carrier by securing the 2 bolts that hold it on when i stripped the threads out of one of them. I'm just wondering what i go about changing? Can i just change the wheel hub as i believe they screw into the back of that, and if so is changing the wheel hub a tricky job? I was going to put a helicoil in there but i cant get enough access to the hole to drill into it. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

Cheers Tuscan, i have changed the motor today and it seems to work fine. Hopefully it will work permanently now...

Have tried this reset option, with no luck. I think i will go for changing the motor and see how this goes. Thanks for the replies guys.

Hi, can anyone help me out by explaining these fault codes from VAGCOM in laymans terms: 01135 - Interior Monitoring Sensors 36-00 - Open Circuit 01596 - Motor for Outside/Recirculated Air Flap (V154) 30-00 - Open or Short to Plus 00819 - High Pressure Sensor (G65) 07-00 - Signal too Low 00819 - High Pressure Sensor (G65) 31-10 - Open or Short to Ground - Intermittent Many thanks.

Sorry, its a fabia VRS 55 plate.

I think my convenience module is playing up, as my electric windows have been working intermittently, then working in the opposite directions. Also the alarm randomly goes off and the boot wont open sometimes. My first question is am i right in assuming due to these problems its the convenience module at fault? Second question is can i buy a straight replacement, or do they have to be specially programmed? Many thanks.

No the passenger window is not working at all, from either switch. I tested the voltage going into the motor at the red wire going into the block connector. In light of this do you have any more info? Thanks for the replies.

Both front windows on my fabia vrs have stopped working. I have tested with a multimeter and there is voltage going into the motor, but it makes no sounds, and there is no movement. Am i right in thinking that it is the motor that is at fault, and would itn prevent both windows from working? Thanks in advance.

How do you access the above, on a Fabia VRS 55 plate. Is it by taking off the shroud inside the passenger side wheel arch? Mine is leaking and needs replacement. Many thanks.
