  1. This is innacurate, brim the tank, drive around and then brim again, then cauculate the MPG from that.
  2. From what I can see there is no pre FL MFSW availible for VRS model octavias, Can I buy and fit this instead? http://www.skodateile.cz/index.php?pg=product∏=355&menu=%C5%A0koda|Octavia%20II%28A5%29%20facelift&img_b=IMG_2147_1.JPG&album_adr=/album&album_start=0 Will it work?
  3. OK here's a question, Can I fit a FL steering wheel with multi function to my preFL car?
  4. I have an octavia vrs with 35k on the clock, the engine mounts have worn and need renewal, does anyone know where I can get the part numbers for them? There are some aftermarket parts availible that are uprated, anyone got experience of these, or should I stick with OEM?
  5. I seem to have a knocking coming from the transmission area, I have had it checked by a local mechanic who couldn't find anything strange with the gearbox/engine mountings. It happens mostly in 3rd gear, when coming to a roundabout and slowing down, then applying power again, there's a pretty loud knock. It does happen in other gears too, it isn't consistent, more tempramental. Anyone experienced similar?
  6. Not much, 4 new tyres, Falken FK452s, had a puncture on the rear beyond repair, fronts were low too, so just replaced all four with a matching set. Got the Maxidot coded in too, it has a compass on there, which I never knew.
  7. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201107379943077/sort/priceasc/usedcars/fuel-type/diesel/model/outback/make/subaru/postcode/s817sh/radius/1500/page/1?logcode=p Never considered one of those?
  8. Is replacement of the flywheel a good preventative maintanance measure? In the BMW world, if you ring BMW HQ they will give you details of all the dealer visits, you can then call the dealers to confirm service history and warranty work. Does Skoda have a similar system?
  9. I guess the higher running costs will be offset by the fact it rarely goes wrong/ A bad thing for the legacy is £300 road tax as opposed to £100 of the Skoda.
  10. I guess, I thought that when buying my current car (2002 530d) Promptly the turbo failed costing £1k and the Transmission failed, costing £1.8k. What happens if the DMF fails, I hear it damages the gearbox?
