  1. Great stuff - thanks. Will be in the post tomorrow. Cheers, Ben.
  2. Deal to the man who just got paid! 😜 PM me? Cheers, Ben.
  3. Hi. Yes, still available. I’ve looked in my photo library and don’t have any more pics, I’m afraid. If it helps, they use the original OE plastic triangles from the doors, so look “factory” and very discrete. Cheers, Ben.
  4. Please head to the ads linked above - all info and prices there. Cheers, Ben.
  5. Audison Voce tweeters in custom-built housings, made by Audiofile In Car. Finished in Skoda Alcantara cloth. Swap straight in and replace the original tweets - very discreet, but a significant audio upgrade. Cost me over £300 plus the tweeters, which are around £150 new. In lovely condition, used for only a few months in a high-end multi-amp system, £175.
  6. Just a heads-up. I've reluctantly sold my Superb 272 and these performance upgrades are available in the "For Sale" section: Health warning - they will make you giggle like a schoolboy, as you leave the Corsa kids in your mirror... Also have a pair of easy fit Thule snow chains and some high spec Audison Voce custom-built tweeter upgrades for the Superb 3/4. Cheers, Ben.
  7. Thule CU-9 Easy-fit snow chains (pair) no. CU-9 102, bought from John Jordan Ltd in 2019. Unused - have just been sat in the garage. Slight degradation to the Thule badge from sitting on a shelf. Please see pics. Not to be confused with regular snow chains, these are some of the highest spec you can buy and I treated myself to them after years of standard knuckle-shredding versions! New, around £250 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/König-EASY-FIT-CU-9-102-Chains/dp/B009NPLESU?th=1) As new, £130.
  8. Probably the most significant performance upgrade available for the Superb - this takes away the wading through treacle effect of the standard fly-by-wire throttle and makes it feel like a throttle should. I suspect this will work on any Skoda/VW - but please check before buying. 6 different modes, allowing you to fine tune as you go and find the sweet spot that works for your driving style. Having just taken it out to sell the car, I got a rude reminder of how awful the stock setup is in comparison. 10 min easy fit and the controller sits nicely out of the way in the cubby on the right of the steering wheel with the included spare sticky fixer. New, these are 230 Euros. In great condition, used, £100.
  9. Easy to install (allow 30 mins), lots of fun and provides quite a visceral seat-of-the-pants boost (claims an upgrade to 350 BHP - I don't think they're far off with that figure). Highest spec Racechip available, with added app control - not essential for the 272, but do you really want to own such a wolf in sheep's clothing without knowing what it can really do? 🙂 Comes with engine guarantee etc - info available here: https://www.racechip.com/shop/skoda/superb-3v-facelift-from-2019/2-0-tsi-1984ccm-272hp-200kw-350nm.html Can be by-passed in seconds at any time with the included blanking plug. New, 619 Euros. In great condition, with all docs and manual etc - selling used for £350. Also selling a pedal box/Racechip XLR and snow chains - please see my other ads.
  10. Thanks Roberto - no credit due to me, though Apparently your installer was swapping notes with Gary at Audiofile In Car who was installing mine - these were the first Skoda systems they have both done. Interesting that yours is using analogue outs from the Zen 150, going into an amp that has a DSP stage before the amp. Does your amp not have optical inputs? Dunno if it has anything to do with the following: VI Products, who make the Zen, are writing a firmware patch for my setup, after a phone call with Audiofile In Car. The Zen Toslink (digital) outputs default at somewhere between 6 to 10dB down because of the tone controls on the Skoda headunit. These can cause clipping if used over enthusiastically - I won't be using them at all, so they're re-writing my firmware to give a 10dB boost. This may or may not affect you with your analogue connection - but may be worth checking, as the analogue outputs on the Zen may also be lower by default to avoid clipping, in which case you might not be getting all of the potential from the system. Ben.
  11. Cute JL sub that sits unobtrusively in the boot. Huge improvement over the Canton bloater. Total cost, including kit and installation - circa £3K. Audio File In Car, Bishop's Stortford.
  12. Update on my custom install, in case it's useful to anyone. The system was done in two stages - firstly, the speakers were upgraded to Audison Voce bass, mid and tweeter - plus the doors were comprehensively dampened with dyna-mat. The next stage was to remove the stock amp and replace with an Audison 8 channel digital amp - this includes DSP on all channels, making a fully active system with time alignment and EQ on each speaker. This is fed optically from a Zen- V 150 Module, which converts the "MOST" optical digital signal into Toslink. This module sits invisibly behind the dash, next to the sat-nav brains in the glovebox. A couple of nice but subtle touches are the tweeter builds, which incorporate the original door corner mouldings and the remote control for the amp, which now sits in the little cubby to the right of the steering wheel (and still retains one pound coins for Aldi trollies ). All finished tastefully in a similar Alcantara to the OE material. Pics below, including some the techs took during installation.
