Stopped locking door randomly. Got used one to replace it but ordered unsuitable, which I sent back. Having it on a table got it clean and greased with silicone spray. Now it's working fine but tests with unsuitable lock generated faults.

Found a guy with OBD11 [guessing the newest version]. He connected to my car and had rear door modules in the app [CarScanner or Carista don't have these - only front door modules]. Deleted faults and now everything works fine.

After disconnecting and removing the lock from the driver's side rear door, I get the message "electrical child safety lock fault" every time I turn on the ignition. However, no errors related to this appear in CarScanner or Carista. The central locking and the child safety lock work properly [except lightning of its button on driver's door]. Can anyone advise how to reset this without visiting an authorized service center? My rear door module number is 5Q4959595F [according to ETKA online]. Not sure about software version but suppose it's 0246 [the same in front doors]. Thanks in advance for any advice and tips.

Problem seems to be solved. Thinking the reason of overheating was an air lock in the system after coolant change. Did another bleeding on saturday and right after reaching the temperature I was pressing coolant hoses in many places many times. Right after this I felt warm on the radiator and connected hoses. Drove about 50 km (some in the city and some on a highway with 140km/h) and the indicator still shows 90 degrees. CarScanner shows 95 - 101 degrees on both gauges (max 105 within a while of waiting on traffic lights). Thanks all for your hints and advices.

I have noticed that from time to time the lock on the driver's side rear door does not lock the door after pressing the button on the remote control. Sometimes you have to press the button several times and open and close the door. I am afraid that it is at the end of its life and will stop closing or opening after some time. I checked and I have a 5ta839015j lock, later replaced with a 5ta839015m. Both models are hard to find on the market in my country as used [very few offers] and/or at crazy prices. In addition to above numbers, is there another 5ta839015 rear left lock with a different letter at the end that fits the SIII?

Learned that water pump actuator unit [05E907593] does same job as thermostat - let coolant into radiator after reaching parameters (large circle). At mine it doesn't happen so engine temp rises and fan starts spinning quicker and quicker to cool down the empty radiator. Could the actuator break because of engine overheating? Can it be also because of air in cooling system? If so how to effectively let air out of it? Thanks in advance for any hints and informations.

In the evening I did another test. I started the cold engine and checked the coolant heating up. In the meantime I removed the return hose and checked if the fluid was returning to the reservoir through it. The fluid was returning, which may mean that the pump is working properly. The temperature reached 90 degrees and the needle stopped. I held the revs at 2000 for a while and after a while the needle went towards the red zone. I left the engine idling for a while and the needle was almost at 130 degrees. During this time the winds on the radiator were spinning very fast. In my opinion, such symptoms suggest that for some reason the fluid is not flowing through the radiator, something is not letting it in there despite the parameters indicating that the fluid needs to be let into the radiator. In older cars, this is controlled by a thermostat. I do not see a thermostat on the diagrams in DADA - but there is a regulator on the pump. Can anyone advise something based on my tests/observations, how to fix this? Thank you in advance for any tips and advice.

Hi, My 1.5 TSI DADA engine is overheating - after driving a short distance, the needle moves to 130 degrees and the fan starts spinning very quickly. After a while, at this level, the needle quickly returns to 90 degrees, the fan slows down and you can drive another section (about 1 km). The fluid level is correct. Where and how to look for the cause? Is there a procedure, e.g. in CarScanner, for testing/filling/bleeding the cooling system? I would be grateful for any advice and tips

On Monday morning, after a night at a temperature of around 4 degrees Celsius, I read the battery data in Carista [see attached photo]. I would be grateful for help in interpreting them in the context of immediate battery replacement or the possibility of waiting until the autumn-winter season. The car starts and drives normally regardless of the outside temperature. I don't know if it is related to the battery, but for a few days I have noticed that at low temperatures the central locking does not close the rear doors on the driver's side. Opening works normally. To close them, you have to press the close and open buttons on the remote control several times. Could it be related to the battery? In my 1.5 DADA noticed some tiny oil mist at the turbo pipe connection close to intake manifold. Kind of common problem in this engine? Is there any seal/oring needed to be replaced? If so does it a part number? Crankcase breather is dry although it's old type (number ends with J). Mileage 80 000 km. Thanks in advance for all hints and advices.

It was just about folding mirrors. Mods in other modules left untouched.

Believe me, I wouldn't ask for hints here if it was free at the dealer. Checked that earlier and price they told me forced me to look for help everywhere else.

Could anyone confirm this is an update for my cluster? If so, can it be simply installed/updated with VCP or ODIS without doing aditional things like eeprom dump or so?
