  1. It is now sorted, thanks to Urrell. I think that I must not have pulled out the knob sufficiently far, so I didn't need to to get involved with the balls!
  2. OK it is sorted; brute force was required to push the lever further down. Thanks once again.
  3. Thanks for response Unfortunately, I have done that .
  4. I hope that someone can point me in the right direction. I have a Westfalia detachable towbar and on our return from a short holiday with the caravan I can not remove it. I have followed the instructions on putting in the key and turning the knob but it remains obstinately in place, no movement at all.
  5. Thanks chimaera Yes it is. I have actually done all this. It was difficult to push the lever down with the red button pushed in and the key in place but I managed with difficulty. It has been in place before and the car has only been owned by me. Do you have a reference to a picture for the plastic cap? I did try by putting a jack under it and raising that but there was no joy. I will have another go and let you know what happens.
  6. Hi I'm new here but I have searched for my problem without success. I have a Superb II combi with a detachable towbar which I can't get to go into the slot. I have followed the instructions. Any help really appreciated. Separately I will post on the Yeti forum the other problem that I have which is that I can't remove the detachable towbar after I have used it to tow. Thanks in advance
