I’m Stockport based and would like some good recommendations for body repair and paint job to my Octavia.

Octavia 1.5 petrol 68 plate. anyone know the size of sump plug washer to use. Seem to have forgotten. also, what oil is best. many thanks 👍👍👍

What thickness foam tubing is best to put in the gap behind the window brushes, to push them onto the window when putting the window up and down to clear the rain water. Rather than renew the brushes, I thought it would be easier just to do this.
-
Thanks.
-
Sorry about that. It’s a 2018 1.5tsi petrol. cheers

I’m about to do my oil change on my 68 Octavia. What do you do, use the same sump nut washer or renew? If you renew, what is the size? Also, what oil do you use? many thanks.

Octavia 2016 bonnet release lever

Sorry. It meant to say 2018 Octavia. it probably is a safety feature, but never really heard of many accidents when the bonnet has come open. plus, awkward on the passenger side too. -
Why can’t you open the bonnet whilst the door is closed and, has anyone modified the lever to allow you to do so? if so, any photos. cheers.

This sounds about right. Only 1st gear setting off. If the car automatically lifts the revs, then when they drop, this must be causing the slight judder. Must be something that I will have to learn to adapt to. Thanks.

Not kangarooing. Just like when you get into a different car and you’re not used to the clutch.
-
Sorry, manual.

Got a 1.5 Tsi petrol 68 plate Octavia. Was just wondering what people are having the revs at to get a smooth start off in 1st with no judder.
-
Is that a drain plug in the fuel cap compartment and can it be removed to clean, or is it connected to anything.
-
Anyone know how intricate it is to replace the brushes on the drivers side window. When the window is coming up, the brushes are not clearing it. Thought they maybe worn or damaged. cheers.
-
Anyone else think that the drain holes in the doors are to high. if they’re not completely at the bottom, there’s always going to be water in there. surely this is a design fault.

Just random times. It's happened a few times. It's not even bang on an hour, it's hours and minutes. Different on all occasions. -

Got any theories or resolutions? -
This is a bad design fault. Parking against a wall as I’ve just done and trying to flip the bonnet...what a farce. Can’t believe they’ve done this. Hope the designer was paid well.

Can you not open the bonnet without opening the passenger door
