  1. Hi, Researched this fault code can't find anything online anyone else experienced this? Anyone know what control difference means in the fuel pressure regulator? Fault code p106500. Picture attatched
  2. My car dosent have dpf got deleted over a year ago no smoke still but high oil consumption. Compression is fine cars bang on just its just oil consumption.
  3. @Skully27 what year and mileage is your car? The oil consumption is only going to get worse as mileage increases ive seen my car consume 1l-5k now its on 138.5k miles 1l-650miles.
  4. @Skully27 no i didnt change pcv valve from what mechanics say (vag specialists) it dosent have pcv valve only petrols do. I have had my turbo checked no fault no smoke if it was engine related i.e pistons/rings i would see white/blue smoke no smoke at all. Had vag specialists look at the car and they dont seem to know what the issue is. Seems like nobody at all knows which i find weird. Ive been following alot of these forums even the seat and vw forums same engine fr 184 and gtd since 2018 no solution in any forum to our oil consumption problem.
  5. @BogdanBHow much you looking at for a repair if it is the pistons/piston rings?
  6. @eacaee you changed the pcv valve? Has this cured the oil consumption issue?

Pictures attatched

  12. Does it come as a complete unit? All one piece highlighted in green and blue?
  13. Theres a similar rubber at top behind the nut is this a bush? (Blue) wondering does the nuts need tightning to get rid of play or the rubber booting need replacing is there a bush in there or is it just a boot?
  14. Was wondering what this part is pciture attatched. Makes a noise when i turn the wheel to the right ( creaking) 60%+ more when stationary. I wobbled the metal rod theres play and makes the same noise when turning (green) the other side is solid. What is the other parts connected to it top and at the bottom (blue) Any help appreciated Thanks
  15. @Srkigtd It would not damage your engine by using 5w40 oil although it would damage your dpf though if you have one equipped to your vehicle. So wouldn't recommend 5w40 with a dpf.
  16. @Virusul Hi, what was your oil consumption before using ulei motor ravenol 5w30? Also which oil was you using before ulei?
  17. Nice one for your help lads @Wino @MarkyG82
  18. Question is will 5w40 be fine in my engine instead of 5w30 even though it don't sort my consumption worth a try?
  19. Lol i have been and now I've had dpf out thought I'd try a thicker oil see if it helps even if it is a little. What you mean by that far gone there is nothing wrong with it it's just the engine i know 2 other people with same spec car same thing. Cupa engine code. The cuna ones are fine.
  20. There is no issue with the engine have had it fully checked i bought the car on 30,000 miles it is now on 108,000miles it has used excessive oil from the day i got it now it's getting slighlty worse. It used to be 1 litre/2000miles now its at 1litre/750miles. I think its the engine that just burns the oil to be honest. That's why im enquiring about a slighlty thicker oil although 5w40 is a pd engine oil would it be safe to use in my cr engine?
  21. @e-Roottoot price isn't the issue, the issue is high oil consumption so thought id try 5w40 slighlty thicker wont burn as bad at higher operating temps as 5w30. @Wino would it be ok using 5w40 505.01 instead of 5w30? Any side affects or is it safe to use in this 2.0tdi cr engine. Thanks. I service my car every 6-7k
  22. @MarkyG82 If you can't answer my question please don't reply topic clearly says can i use 5w40 not the legality around a dpf. Thanks.
  23. Hi all, I was wondering can i use 502, 505 5w 40 instead of 5w30 car is 2014 skoda octavia mk3 vrs 2.0tdi cr. It no longer has a dpf in the car so would this be fine using 5w40?
  24. Just noticed this on the fuel lines could this be the cause? No hole or rip but seems burnt somehow.
  25. It has the standerd map all he did was delete egr and dpf. Spoke with him already.
