Cheers gaz , I'm just baffled as the car runs smoothly for a while and then I get a burning smell and smoke from around the engine itself , I will park her up till after hols and get it looked at ..thanks again

Thanks for replying it was done on a hand held scanner by my mechanic , the car drives ok , but no engine management light on just the pig tail light , after car has stopped and sitting for a short time and you restart the engine it's gone for about 10 mins and then returns...

Hi bap I don't know what I mean to be honest lol do you know the way the lights do like a dance when switched on ? Well after this came up on my dash they don't do that no more , my bulbs are working fine , so I'm at a loss

I could hear it at 40 but louder as I got up to 60 and faded around 70

Andy , my car has 150000 on it when it started ,mechanic sorted it and told me was the back bearing but it sounded like it was coming from front Yes true

Yes andy, 1 mechanic told me it was my diff , went to another for second opinion and was told bearing , all sorted and quiet as a mouse now Sorry it was the bearing

Everything on the car is running spot on , accelerating no vibrating, gear box in for second service , that's all I know right now , not using oil and tyres are spot on
