  1. I have the buttons on the stalk. I see that there is the symbol on my dashboard, but never the light. I have tried engaging the CC on a motorway with speeds above 30mph and still nothing.
  2. I had issues with the AC and the first thing I did was to take it for a recharge. KwikFit have a policy, that if with the recharge they cannot improve your temperature, they refund you the money - £60. During the refill they realised that i have a faulty pressure switch. Booked it with a master technician and he fixed everything. So you can take it for a recharge there. This can fix it. Worst case scenario, it wont fix it, but they will be able to tell you what is wrong with the AC. That was my case. I hope it helps
  3. Hi. You are right. It is a traditional torque converter. So this issue is sorted out. What confused me is the Skoda customer service representative, who quoted me for a DSG box service in the first place. Thank you all
  4. Hi all, I have a 2008 2.0 FSI hatchback elegance. Automatic gearbox. I purchased the car with cruise control not working. I have never been able to use it. I tried cleaning the stalk as suggested in several other threads. It didn't help. Break lights are working fine. In general i have no electrical issues with the car to suggest anything wrong with the instruments that may affect the CC. I haven't tested with VCDS, as I don't have one, but just purchased a OBD2 Dongle. Is it even useful with the problem I have? I was wondering if someone has had the same issue and managed to test or even fix the the CC? Sometimes I wonder do i even have CC fitted? :-D Any ideas would be welcome. Thank you all in advance
  5. Hi all, I have a question that may have been asked here. I was just at a Skoda Service to get the DSG oil change. When I asked if the filter was changed they told me that I have no filter. I cannot find information online that can confirm that. Everywhere I see there is a filter change as well. So I was wondering if the guys in the garage have missed that. Another surprise in the garage was the charge. Over the phone I was quoted £189 for DSG Oil Change and in the garage, I was told that my gear box requires a "more expensive" oil, as it has a wet clutch. And was given the price of £248 (after a discount) . So I was wondering if someone had a similar experience? My gearbox is 6 speed DSG from 2008, on Skoda Octavia, 2.0 FSi Elegance. Thank you
