Clean electrical connections. Quick question.
Hi all Another electrical gremlin!! With all the rain the vrs has presented me with another fault. It reports fault with abs control module. I cleared the code. Drove for a while and its come back. I think the heavy rain might have soaked things. I have read that cleaning and checking the electrical connection side of abs could help. My question is can I disconnect the electrical connection of the abs without causing programming issues. If so what would you recommend doing first. I have a full copy of vcds. . I love the car. But these electrical issues are taking the shine off the car. Thanks for reading Pete

Throttle body whine engine off key out
Thank you, I will investigate the electrical connections. I've ordered a new gasket and will remove and clean the throttle. Also have a look at the pedal electronics. Pete

Throttle body whine engine off key out
Hi thanks for this. It threw up the following codes this morning. Pic attached just happened randomly slowing down for a red light. Cleared the codes, completed a TB alignment all is good at the moment. Any help would be appreciated. Pete

Throttle body whine engine off key out
Hi all I have a 2008 tfsi vrs Octavia. I have had a few issues with random epc,TC and tyre pressure lights coming on,the car normally . Vcds throws lots of codes mainly regarding voltage drop. It did It yesterday and while scratching my head looking at the engine I realised there is a whine, at this point the keys are in my pocket and the whine has been there for 3 minutes. It's coming from the black plastic housing of the throttle body. I can feel a vibration coming from the housing. I disconnected the battery and noise went away left it a few minutes reconnected and no noise. No lights on the dash. I'm thinking that the throttle body is failing. Has anyone had a similar issue. Thank for looking Pete
