It’s weird ... my dpf keeps regenerating and when it does the oil temp gets high, if I turn engine off the battery dies and car won’t start... but after about 30 mins when engine cools it starts. Maybe it’s overheating the battery, starts first time every morning. Really confusing

But can you use another battery because my stop start doesn’t work anywaya

do you have to get a stop start battery if old one is stop start or can you use any

I have red oil light had oil pump changed oil sensors changed sump cleaned pick up pipe changed, after a year of trying different things it’s still on when dpf is running cycle and oil temp gets high red oil light comes on, I’m sick of being ripped off and still no fix any ideas

165000 and I’ve no idea what’s been done other than oil pump changed and other things I’ve mentioned

I do around 100 mile a day

Dpf is regenerating about 4 times a day

Yes he checked oil pressure and was showing low That’s before pump was changed

Also when dpf is going through it’s cycle which is more often than not that’s when oil temp goes up

Presuming all is done proper but still getting this is there anything else it would it need new engine

He said he changed oil pump and timing belts etc it lasted 3 days the light came back on but before it was on constantly I’m just fed up of it now nobody seems to know what it is and it’s just a money pit

All I know is I give my reg and they give me right oil and mostly mechanic sorts it
