No, that is the HHC = Hill Hold Control. That holds the car just for a couple of sec, as you mentioned. The auto hold can hold the car for minutes or more e.g. at a traffic light or anything. I stop the car totally, the auto hold function engages, a lift the break pedal, but the car is still stopped while the dsg is in D. When I push the gas pedal a little, then the break releases, and car starts.

Hi everyone! I am about to buy a Octavia 3 and I could not figure out one thing. Is there auto hold function and button in the O3? I am searching a dsg car, and it would be great if there is a possibility to use the auto hold function, or to activate it, or to buy a button and put it in the car at service. What do you now about this? Thanx a lot!
