No this didnt happen. Is it easy to clean out ? I might ask him to do it when he changes the flywheel set up. Doing it in 3 weeks time.

Service changes needed at 80k miles
Yes i think so to. It is looking like £500 for a clutch kit and flywheel and bolts. Some of the clutch kits differin size by 2mm. Does this matter ? So i am looking at getting 230mm diameter, but you can also get 228mm. Also any ideas on best brands ? Thinking about using LUK

Service changes needed at 80k miles
Hi all I have had the service done and the timing belt changed. The issue with a bit of noise/vibration on the clutch is the fly wheel. So i am going to need to get this changed. I have been told to buy a dual mast flywheel and clutch assembly kit. Looking on car parts for less i can see this kit for about £130. It seems cheap, but says there is a flywheel in the kit (in vehicle spec section). So can anyone confirm if this kit is all i need or do i need to buy seperate pieces for this job. I will check with my mate as well. https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/clutch-kit

Service changes needed at 80k miles
I will get a local guy to do it. So oil, filters, cambelt, tensioner, aux belt, water pump, coolant and gear box oil I will buy all the bits, but any idea what the labour cost will be ? I'm thinking maybe £150

Service changes needed at 80k miles
My skoda is 8 yrs old this nov. It has 80k on the clock and has been serviced once per year by a local garage or myself. The only stuff changed in these years has been the usual filters and oil yearly and the brake pads and discs (fluid) once. What should i be looking to get checked out at this older stage ? Do i need to get the timing belt changed ? What is the cost of all the bits associated with the timing belt. I think i need the water pump, tensioner, aux belt and coolant doing. Is there anything else to look at ? I notice i am getting a funny noise when the car is in idle at junctions or traffic lights. Could this be a belt sound ?

New brake pads and fluid
the choices i can get are: Pagid ATE Brembo Bosche The cheapest start with pagid. Any ideas which are better to get ?
-
New brake pads and fluid
yes i checked with skoda. 280 x 22mm. The ones on car part 4 less are 280 x 19mm. Does it matter that they are thinner ? It says on the spec "minimum thickness"

New brake pads and fluid

New brake pads and fluid
I think i need to change the pads and discs on our yeti. We have done 80k miles and we havent changed the pads or fluid once. So i need to get this done. Is this normal wear and tear or should i have been changing the fluid earlier in its life. Its now 7 yrs old. Looking at the discs there are different sizes. Is it better to go for a bigger size ? should i be doing the rear as well ?

Changed fuel filter problem
Hi all I opened the filter housing yesterday and just fiddled with the seal a little and pushed the filter home a bit more. Then screwed shut, this time screwing each screw a little until they all bit tight. Today we have no leak ! So fingers crossed i have solved the issue. Can anyone tell me why "inspection now" keeps popping up on the screen when we start the car ? I reset the service warning, but am getting this. Does it mean i have something not right on the car still ?

Changed fuel filter problem
i'm not sure. Just gave my reg to the supplier and got this mann filter. It looked very similar. We got back tonight late, so i will open the filter up in the morning. The other filter is in the bin so will try dig it out. the leak has fuel on the top cap. There is fuel underneath it. The other day i hear a small hissing sound and thought nothing of it. The sound was there again today.

2013 2L diesel. I think its the 100bhp engine. Is the code of the engine the engine number on my log book ? I will do the photos now- Changed fuel filter problem
PS. I didnt fill the fuel filter up with fuel or do any purging. Reading on the forums now i seem to have made a **** up. Am i in trouble ?- Changed fuel filter problem
I serviced my yeti friday for the first time. Did the oil and filter and the air and fuel. The fuel filter is leaking and i am not sure what i have done wrong. Been out today and started smelling diesel after 20 miles. When i arrived i checked under the bonnet and the filter was leaking and fuel was in the area. Did i push the filter home correctly on the connector or did i not screw the bolts down tight enough ? - Changed fuel filter problem
