Anyone else getting this, sorry if already discussed. Only really noticeable when turning left or right on a long sweeping curve. I can feel the gearstick vibrate and make a noise like its struggling. Any help appreciated people

Thanks I'm going to keep these pirelli's on which came with the alloys for a month or two before changing to a better tyre.

Thanks it's getting there but some parts are either hard to find or excessive in price.

Hi, They have the adapters included, they were on a seat 1.2 before and looks like just lug nuts. Im going to measure up for the centre caps and are 15 inch.

Hi all, Thank you for the advice, on this information i will keep what i already have and purchase some new tyres. I will look at a slight lowering as i dont want be slammed.

Just aquired the 06 mk1 and wanting to swap the tired original wheels and purchase some new. Ive exausted the forum and ebay, what is a good reliable site for alloy wheels? Feels like a minefield out there. Also is it possible to fit 17 as standard or too big? Any help much appreciated, thanks

Hi corndog, Thank you i will have a look at the websites you suggested. The car handles great tbh, im quite suprised how smooth the ride is for its age. Ive only ever had older cars too so i can tell ha. Tyres are on the list as well as searching for new alloys for next years warm weather. Is the air filter a downgrade? I was unaware that you could do a generic map yourself?

Evening all, This is my first Skoda, friend at work has a Vrs and have been looking for a project car/daily driver. Picked this up with 94k miles and good service history. Sadly not a Vrs but i love the mk1 look It has a few little dints and scratches but it is an 06 plate after all. So far the ait filter has been upgraded, the egr valve cleaned out and serviced by me. I would like to upgrade the car bit by bit but would appreciate it if someone could suggest places to buy good parts like engine parts etc. Here is the engine from the first clean, i have no car maintenance experience so its a steep learning curve.

I have purchased the same car but the hatchback, I have not noticed anything yet other than a few lamps out when purchased last week. I hope.ypu find an answer and will keep an eye out for anything
