Just had my Karoq 2.0TSI Sportline serviced by local Skoda dealer 2020 with 22600 miles on the clock…..Was quite surprised to see amber recommendations at a cost of about £1300 to remediate!
Front Pads 50% worn but discs have approx 25% of inner surface corroded – Recommending replacing discs and obviously pads – Presume gone are the days where you would go through two sets of pads before you would even need to change discs? – Not picked up on MOT just health check.
Slight misting on both front shocks – This seems to be a common issue listed with a lot of VW based platform vehicles, listed on MOT and Health Check.
NS and OS Front suspension lower arm rear bush starting to un-bond, however they then say there is no play in it and was not flagged on MOT just Health Check.
All in all quite miffed by this…
Presume this is one of those ignore jobs and maybe get a good independent to check in 6 months time.
The car has got extended warranty as we had a good deal on a service and warranty package and to be fair to the dealer they did say they maybe able to get the shocks through warranty but I imagine that may have just been to soften the blow. They did offer to check it all again in six months time free of charge.
Its lucky most people don’t take it literally when they are 4x4 and actually take them off road. 4x4 in terns of drive but components must be weak as.
