  1. Thank you to the 3 of you that have attempted to Help me My lovely local old mechanic that works out of his front garden doing odd repairs services etc looked at Scout . He got the DPF " cleaned " by getting a garage to clear the soot n Ash etc. Passed mot emissions etc once this was done . Happy days I thought ..but no within 50 miles of driving it ..the EML was back on and Scout seems to chug n rattlealong rather than purr .. popped back to mechanic and he put a diagnostic reader on and P0299 turbo underboost came up as fault.. Would welcome a remedy please. Thanks Kenny
  2. Hello I would welcome help please. My Octavia scout as in title subject.. is now used for very short journeys and The Engine Management Light is on constantly..Mot has expired ..and so cannot drive car a Long Distance, as I have read on chat forums ,to kinda Blow dpf clea etc I fear it's blocked....This may not be the case ... I guess my question is ...should I simply take to mot test station to have it Fail due to E.M.L. being on and to discover via their test emissions etc how bad the situation is ...? Or can I switch EML Off via a process ..? Can this dilemma be an expensive outcome ? I live in Norfolk and have Zero knowledge of cars ! Reading through paperwork that came with the car when I bought it over a year ago ..it seems this Light was often On .. Thanks for any help etc
  3. Thanks Mike for the info :}
  4. Hello I have a 2010 Scout octavia estate. I am not at all practical so would welcome advice on how to remove drivers seat .. I tried using a T50 on the seat runners but no joy in removing as they are rusted and the t50 seemed slightly to small .And am I actually doing this correctly? Big thanks Kenny
