Hard to tell, but I had something similar on my VW Passat TSI Noise occurred when lifting off.. almost like a sucking sound?? turned out there were some breathers at the top of the engine that were blocked and needed replacing... fairly cheap to do the mechanic just pulled the dipstick out when the engine was running and you could feel the sucking pressure. Might be completely different mind you!!

Thinking of getting the car chipped to a stage 1 as already playing for it on insurance Superchips seems a good option if I want to abort. Concerns are traction as not great in the wet stock. To the question.. if you apply a new map, how does that impact the “sport, normal and ego” modes etc?
